  1. Yes but I'm not sure why and don't care because I only ever DRT to get out the tree when my rope isn't long enough to do it the SRT way. In this scenario I'm not using a cambium saver so that may contribute to some of the jerkiness. Actually I think it may be because the HH and spliced eye are connected to my bridge separately (when in DRT). Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

  3. According to the manual we are supposed to grease the bar tip sprocket and the needle bearing at the clutch. The supplied plastic grease gun never works IME and I don't know how else to get the grease into the bar tip. I've never done this in any of my other saws. What do you guys use?
  4. That's not true. The biggest load ever transported was the day I forgot to go to the toilet before leaving the house! 😂😬😬 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. Great response guys, thanks. I've sen how Euc rings split a few weeks after cutting but I didn't know if this would occur on a complete trunk. It was felled in hot weather and it stayed hot for a further month. I'm thinking that if it produces splits down the length, I could make features of them by opening them up a bit. If it works I'll put the photos If it doesn't, I'll put the photos up! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. I've got no idea what you're referring to. I've been let down and would like to pay someone for an easy day. I asked that someone calls if they would like a job, not post stupidity. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. It's a dead easy rigging job right next to the chipper. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. HI dismantled a Eucalyptus gunnii about 6 weeks ago. The client said his dad would use the wood for something but this hasn't happened. The trunk is still on the lawn and now my client wants me to carve a basic bench or something. My question is: How will Euc react to this in terms of splitting, cracking etc? Thanks for your time?
  9. What kind of wood is that?
  10. Beautiful stuff!
  11. Oh I can see it performing better than a Lockjack and the weight is a non issue because it's being supported by the rope. If I prefered climbing DdRT, I'd buy a ZZ immediately.
  12. Relax Dave. My point is that I think a reputable company should replace it regardless of time frame, within reason.
  13. Please call Al on 07834 414271. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. You're quite right James. I've had two apprentices and while I would have another, both previous developed egos and had to go. It's a 50/50 thing. The apprentice has to put in an equal effort to the employer but the problem arises when the apprentice doesn't understand the concept of loyalty. I hope it works out for all of them. Conor won't appreciate how much Chris is giving him until he's 6yrs down the line.
  15. Do you fall into the latter category mate?
  16. You should have stuck with the program Skyhuck and returned it at the right time. However, I wonder how many Zigzag users don't use online forums and may still be unaware of the issue. I think a manufacturer should be willing to accept all Mk1 in direct replacement for the new model. They don't need another accident hitting the headlines!
  17. Just be sure the root plate is solid and crack on. If not, Mewp or winch them over.
  18. I see that Cougar Blue isn't available for sale in the UK. How annoying, all the best stuff is Health & Safetyed off our shores! Boo!
  19. If I was the judge: £5k fine and send truck to the crusher. Glad his name and address have been published though. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. Come and work for me for a day and I'll tell you how much you're worth. I've had guys with more qualis than you who should have paid me, they were such a liability. I've also had guys who couldn't write their name on paper but were superb arborists. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. If you're still stuck call Charles and Joanne at Arbrep Services. http://www.woodchipperservices.co.uk/ Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Audi RS6. I realise that's no help at all but a great car none the less. 😜 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. Have you used Kernmaster as a comparison? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. Oh, can't an eye be spliced into Kernmaster then? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
