  1. The best thing to do with the provided grease pump is throw it straight in the bin. I bought the metal Oregon one from Skyland Equip and it works perfectly. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  2. The gypos will carry on regardless and the police will ignore them, as usual. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  3. What's the Storm Trooper all about Paul? I would love one of those authentic costumes but at over £800......... Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  4. With the new technology to be EU emissions compliant dealers will have to do the work on our saws. The days of hammer and big screwdriver are gone.
  5. Look on the Council website Planning Application Search. Put the address in and the details will come up, if it was legitimate work. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Oh, and as for the all black colour, if the customer doesn't have short grass I scream at them and sit on their sofa until they've finished with the mower! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. I didn't consider the Silverline as I assumed cheap would be rubbish. Too late now for me though. Anyway, I just used my Quickload to fix up my garden fence because whoever built it used a Brad Gun so the feather edges are peeling off. Wow, it's a dream not fumbling in the pocket for nails then dropping half of them then hammering my thumb! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. I bought a container from containers direct. Easy company to deal with. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  9. So during your time away from the thread you've stood buy the truck, walked past a hedge, watched an underage lad get drunk and ridden a horse! Hahaha! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. Me too. Since Kevin Bingham pledged some words of wisdom I've been base anchoring more and more. Sometimes it needs more thought and sometimes it's a no brainer. I like it all. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. I bought a Quickload QL90. From what I can tell it's a very close copy of the Paslode IM350. It looks the same and fires the same nails, it's just black instead. It was £279+VAT and for the relatively small amount of fencing I do I feel the price is right. PLus it has a warranty and the dealer is 1 mile away. We will use it next week so I'll report after it's first day.
  12. Unimog. No, Transit. No, 7.5tonner. No, Defender. No,……………...
  13. Had a great day with my Hitch Hiker today. http://media1.break.com/dnet/media/2008/9/bikini-hitch-hiker.jpg
  14. What he said.
  15. Sadly there is no perfect system for all trees. I had a great day today on a quite wide Oak. Put in plenty of redirects, usually the first one with a sling/biner and the second one further out I was using the rope clove hitched round a branch. Love that technique now. So easy and quick. Tree would have have been tough climbing on DdRT!
  16. Oh yes, you're right. I forgot he had his and was climbing DdRT on it. Sorry Pete:blushing: Where are you now? Still DdRT or SRTWP climbing?
  17. It looks to me a bit like making a tapered hinge. Something i do regularly to control the falling direction.
  18. I agree entirely with this because I too have asked many questions and achieved the same conclusion. Speaking purely from a view point in the domestic Arb sector. We are horribly undervalued by every other walk of life. However, despite the fact that it really annoys me I won't loos sleep because I know it will never change if we are an unregulated industry. Until this sector is regulated properly, it's easy pickings for 'gypos and cowboys'.
  19. Not sad at all Gerbutt, I'm hoping for Kernmaster from Santa! Ian, thanks for posting. Although I was the first to get a HH I've only used it on one rope so it's good to get reports from you guys with more gear than a dealership! I too am interested to see a photo of your idea although I think it's been tried before in America. Maybe DMc, Rumination or someone can confirm this. I had a great day on mine today. Repollarding three Lime trees I was the redirect king, placing my rope over the pollard heads to create easy redirects. It would have been a friction hell job on DdRT! 8mm Armor Pruss was working a treat on Poison HiVee. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. Munkymadman, I have considered retrievable redirects but don't see that it's worth the time or effort. When ascending back through the tree you go close to your redirect anyway so there is no issue in retrieving it. Mostly though, climbing SRTWP means the ascent is quicker and easier so its no big deal to maybe set an extra sling/biner to spread the weight, if necessary. . Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. Have you called Predator? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Don't start derailing the thread with talk of ladders otherwise Skyhuck will be on giving us grief for using 'fairy steps'! Hahaha! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=57472 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. I regularly hand throw a bag about 350m. However this is either soaring 10ft off the ground, straight into a fruit tree or it goes straight up, landing right next to me.. I'm an embarrassment to the sport of hand throwing.
  25. That's funny! You are wrong though, of course.
