1. Took some time though and does it really help the sole trader?
2. Not because you didn't have 20 trillion pounds public liability?
3. Carve a notch with the bar nose to slot the hook in to.
4. That is a good idea sir. To field sharpen a chain that has gone blue from grinding is a massive pain.
5. Is there any body reading this that can offer consultancy experience in the Surrey area? I have 15 years in tree surgery and am self employed. Qualifications include Tech Cert and LANTRA 3 day professional tree inspection. Any help would be much appreciated.
6. This is one of those threads where those who have been indoctrinated and those who can see beyond the wall will come to a head. Those in between will take advantage of this and nick your stuff.
7. My truck has had light fingers in the unlocked empty storage in the past week. During the last two weeks other trade vans have been broken into and tools stolen.
8. Yeah but the people 'round 'ere they are so nice they say "stop being naughty take our advice".
9. Turns out the white van wasn't discriminating against any particular trades last night. That's twice my good lady has seen this van and I have a feeling there will be a third and I'll be lighter on my loafers. That is if they don't mind waiting for a bit whilst I have a coffee and a bowl of Weetos. I'm really not a morning person if the truth be told!
10. Not sure but I saw their Cockney cowboy hats jostling about.
11. Small white van (possibly Vauxhall) 2 up seen twice by my truck, This time I know they have had a look. Watch out if you are near Hersham Surrey.
12. It goes around it comes around it goes around again and then it comes around. Groundhog daaaay.
13. Can't remember I'll check. The smaller belt doesn't flap about as much so you can move the grinder while the wheel is engaged which is when the OE belt tends to heat up.
14. My belts disintegrated every 5 mins so I fitted a smaller one. I had to move the engine to get it on and tension with the engine but it has been on for the last 8 years!!
15. No dispute there but retailers of tree gear sell sub 11mm you are free to use.
16. 8mm friction cord and 10mm climbing line minimum, mix and match see what works what works for some doesn't for others due to weight grip etc. If you are using rope on rope it costs next to nothing to try all the friction ropes under the sun. I think rope choice is more important when running a device on it.
17. Husky! Go for power it's a big saw you are after.
18.

Hi Joe, I would like to get £280 for the 3001. Are you still using the shoulder attachment for the treemotion?

Carl

19. They don't. Different kind of heat altogether...and work in the coolest parts of the day/siesta or is it fiesta?;-))
20. Hi HTB, I have a 3001 that I want to sell. It has spent more time in darkness than daylight. PM if you are interested and I will send pics.
21. This is probably why 40% of kit gets robbed.
22. If you really really wanted one then all the agro and extra cost of tree spade and transport is worth it. I'm sure if you could find one that big in a nursery it would be a lot more than £1000 just for the tree.
23. Don't worry I get your joke about the real world. I used that quote because that is any climbers grounding and there are many ways to avoid a pendulum or longer than necessary fall especially with SRT that are so simple and not time consuming. You should not need a shock absorber or fall arrest in your system at all.
24. When using work-positioning techniques, do not climb more than 250mm above your anchor point. Keep the climbing rope taut. Ensure any slack does not exceed 500mm. AFAG401
25. I wonder how many landscapers get pulled up for destroying root areas of clients and neighbours protected trees?
