  1. Yeah been thinking about a winch, specially after my off! ho ho ho thank you mr barrymore. lol
  2. Its starting to turn over here so hopefully sales will pick up soon for me too!
  3. hey dont knock the B&Q "Pro" saw! my little 33cc jobbie is still going strong after 7 years of abuse! lol
  4. Price is a secret then?
  5. But he is not using pallets so all is good?
  6. i have found it to be one of the wettest woods i have split!
  7. How much did that set up cost?
  8. All the graphics are done but we have struggled with timing for the sign writing, when he was able to do it it was raining and the shed was full. Now the sheds free he is too busy!
  9. Excuse me while i am sick with envy. Good on you though!! Out of interest why do you sell 1.3m3s?
  10. I have a 2 pin and a 4 pin and they both work ok, i think i can get the pins in further with only 2 though so you can get a deeper reading.
  11. Cant say i blame people for enjoying the nice weather. But it could have been timed better, i had a new advertising campaign start on local radio yesterday!
  12. ebay, they are about £10. They are not the best and most reliable units but they give you a good idea of the woods dry ness.
  13. glad its not just me! This week has been dead! Ive had time to sort my yard out, make nets up, haul and disc timber for splitting etc Its 9:12 and im still not finished breakfast! Bloody lovely day though, going to enjoy making beech discs today me thinks.
  14. So how much drier will this year old cord be compared to freshly cut stuff?
  15. To be fair to him he has sold one!
  16. I found the maintence aspect of CS30 really useful. Looking after your bar, chain teeth size, charpening the chain, air filter cleaning, fuel tank filter cleaning.
  17. That will be the article in the Mail? Not a month goes by that they do not predict snow! But if they are right ill be a happy bunny!
  18. lol id join that governing body
  19. To date i have been pretty flexible with taking cheques, but not had one bounce yet! I am also getting loads of sales through my website which requires the people to pay up at time of ordering. Paypal merchant services take 3% but as you say cheques and certainly card machines cost a similar amount. For me having the person online and the money in the bank before i even leave my yard is the way forward, i seem to have a nicer chat with the person when i do not have to ask for payment etc. They also seem more at ease... A friend has tried the xmas club type thing with his coal this year and its not working, people seem too skint to even think about the winter.
  20. Was the thread about kiln dried dumpy bags deleted because the OP made a direct reference to a company?
  21. I have been getting people call and ask me if i will hold them some of my special offers until payday, which is tomorrow and friday for a lot of people.
  22. My mate tried storing his logs in a coal hole on the side of his house, it kept the rain off the logs but also and most importantly the wind too. His logs would just go mouldy and not dry out like mine which are stored in a slatted side store with a tin roof and open front. Its my view that the wind and sun are the best way of seasoning. That said if your logs are already seasoned then all you need to do is keep the rain off so it should work well.
  23. I have found the same. As a result i now sell builders bags along side my vented cube bags so that i have a comparable product to the other local sellers.
  24. I have a spare BNIB honda GX 2:1 reduction gear box suitable for a honda GX270 which i think may fit the 11hp crank case.
