  1. Its still really warm over here on the Isle of Man! windy/rainy of course but warm!
  2. I found a 10ft snow plow in my mates yard yesterday behind an old MF24 telehandler i am looking at, its a thick plastic blade with a rubber blade at the base with a metal frame. Its for a 3 point linkage so can go on the front of his Mog or on a truck. Its an ex department of transport/local gov blade. Everythings forsale at the right price, but we are in the isle of man so shipping is going to add to the cost as its going to be a double pallet.
  3. have i got that wrong? lol
  4. I had a chat with my mate and its a 2800!
  5. There is only one solution, a phone call in the morning to say you are sorry that he is unhappy and you will be returning his cheque at 10am and at the same time collecting the logs you delivered. If you dont you will regret it. I had this last season, my first complaint so to speak, i went the next morning gave her cash removed the logs i had carefully stacked 2 weeks prior at no extra cost. I had already sold them for £50 a cube more but she didnt need to know that.... ;-)
  6. Ill ask him tomorrow what its vital stats are... only ones i have been used to are 34C or 34 d so this is new territory for me! This is his 3rd mog and he has had it for at leat 3 years, he told me it was the last of the decent mogs?! with 3 point linkages and ptos etc. We pulled that 40ft fridge unit accross a muddy stubble field before the air had got up to take the brakes off the trailer! I was proper newbie impressed!
  7. Got to drive it again today, its ace, proper love it! Asked my wife and she said NO before i had even finished asking if i could buy it....
  8. Drove a Mog for the first time yesterday, then again this morning, great fun!! My mate recons its worth £50k, can this possibly be right! ? Think its a 99, has pto front and reat, 3 point linkage and its a very high HP model.
  9. I think they are less than 0.8m3 more like .6?
  10. Thinking about it i havent actually measured the MC of my logs since July! My meters keep turning on and then the batteries go flat.... if my SW was at 15% in july and my HW was 24% then i would hope its significantly less now, i better invest in some 9v batteries! lol Anyway, I am very pleased that as a stove retailer you are not pushing KD products on everyone, its actually very refreshing! Out of interest what softwood is it your selling? I have around 20m3 of macracarpa in stock fence containers thats been sitting since March, its really dry now and is a pleasure to burn.
  11. I have the van sign written, he will be doing some basic lettering on my Hilux and Suzuki carryall next weekend.
  12. Alycidon, I know i am splitting hairs (i havent got, except in my nose now for some reason!) but i have found that the kiln dried logs i am selling are 14-17%, with most actually 15/16%. Which is quite a difference to the 20/22 you are quoting, where did the logs come from that you measured? I am happily selling KilnDried logs along side my own seasoned logs which are at 24% currently for HW and 15% for softwood. Some people just want the percieved premium product and i am not going to loose a customer because i am will not sell them what they want. For the same reason i am now selling Cough coal Cough, althought i have to admit that selling this product really hurts.
  13. its a stampeeeeed, yeah baby!!
  14. I thought i was suffering with CTS, tingling hands etc in the morning, went to a proper sports physio and he said "bollocks the problems in the your back". I **** you not after an hour of pain with him working my spin inbetween my shoulder blades there was a huge improvement in the looseness in my arms. The next day i was sore and could feel where he had been working for a week actually but my elbows, arms and wrists were loads looser. It took 3 hour sessions because other parts of me started to hurt as one part was fixed! Each session costs £40 but its the best £40 i have ever spent! My advice to everyone is dont self diagnose, go to a specialist and get checked out you may be surprised. I sure was. I know make regular visits once a month as there is always something achey! lol
  15. I bloody knew that it was that nut! lol Thanks megatron, yes i was just going to stick it back together and see what happened. I am not now though, there is no point going through all this work without rebuilding her. Thanks for you assistance, its greatly apreciated.
  16. piston top looks pretty bad in the pic!
  17. Just been back out to have another look, yeah megatron if thats what you were mystically elluding to your spot on, took the clutch and flywheel off and on removing the crank seal there was loads of old red sealant i had missed and would not have replaced had i not gone further with the strip down! Thanks to you both. So rookie question whats now holding the base in the shell, there seems to be one bolt behind one of the mounts for the bar?! what am i missing?
  18. Why are you worried megatron? No i have not removed the base from the saw was hoping i could just put it alll back easily but it would seem not. I cant see how taking the engine base out is going to make it easier for me to compress the rings and slip the top on! So how do i get the rings compressed and into the cylinder.
  19. I am struggling to get the piston into the bore due to the shape of the cylinder, tried a lovely jubbly clip and all sorts. Next step was to visit my neighbour to see if he has a ring compressor. If its possible without one then ill have another go! How much do you charge for a port and exhaust open out and tune spud?
  20. I am doing this too and its working a treat!
  21. I went to my dealer this morning, got a new exhaust bolt to replace the one that sheared during strip down and a blanking plug for the decompressor. Just got to put it back together now! Any tips Spud?
  22. Ill have to listen too and learn from the experienced wilderbeests and keep my cool by wallowing in the swamp a bit more..
  23. Hi Spud, Yeah checked both of these, conrod and ports both seem fine. My 660 will be stripped and the sissy valve will be removed as soon as the 390 is up and running again!
  24. Good plan, i never use the "Sissy Valve" anyway as I am no Sissy. lol will save a few quid too! and every little helps.
  25. Hi All, My mate came round this afternoon to borrow my saw to disc up sycamore he dumped here on saturday, i leant him my trusty MS390. He had done half a tank when he came up to the house saying it just stopped and now would not turn over. As he is a bellend i suggested the chain brake but he came back in the kitchen saying no its still not working. So after tea i whipped the plug out and it was squashed and bent. Arse. Saw is now in a million peices. During the strip down i thought i had lost a bit of the decompressor and figured it would turn up. It did, in the bottom of the crank case!! So the barrel has a fair few dents as does the piston, in general though the piston and barrell are is very good condition as is the small and big end bearings. Questions are as follows: Should i replace the piston small end and bore or just clean it up the burrs with the dremmel? Just a bit concerned its all had a good shock coming to a sudden stop. Thing is i dont think i have much to loose other than time replacing the decompressor etc and seeing how she fairs. Is this a common failure? seems bonkers to me that this could happen! Any tips or advice most welcome ps if i ever see anyone from stihl id like to insert this decompressor sitting on my keyboard into their bum hole.
