  1. I have had exactly the same prob, pub has two massive fires going all day. Bigger logs for me and hard woods cherry oak seem to be working a bit better for them
  2. i am interested how much per tonne?

  3. £65 cubic m with free bag of kindling cheshire, will be going up to £75
  4. Got a complaint, my first. Your logs are wet they have filled the room with smoke and customers are complaining. Got there really concerned, logs were 18% mc, it was the coal smoking because the chimney damper was shut, really wound me up as the jumped up *&%** was moaning in front of customers. Anyway he ended up bight red when i opened the damper and the fire went mad, they have a massive log burner and never get it p to temp plus insist in burning it with the doors wide open. Amazing how many people have no common sense!!
  5. I find using hiab to load processor much better way of doing it in terms of price, and you can use it for other jobs. Just works for me with this set up. I do alot of roadside collections so straight off trailer onto processor, now got it so controls for both can be reached without moving standing position.
  6. 4 degrees c difference but feels much warmer in the room and washing dries quicker I a now a convert
  7. Hi Dave thought i would pop u a message and see how things are going. Just taken off for me this week, really busy.

  8. My second year at this and kindling and logs are now going well, starting to make the investment look like a good idea. I will run out of hardwood by xmas too, so hope to shift the larch after.
  9. softwood will have to be accepted as there will not be enough hard wood. I am selling larch for the first time this year and having no probs shifting it. Softwood is fine in a log burner so target that market!
  10. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynln1TQB7Bg&NR=1]Splitting Firewood with an Axe - 1 of 4 - YouTube[/ame] if this is you, then try smaller rings and not in brighton
  11. 310-320 at ten inch not stacked neatly, i have had 1m3 boxes made and we counted them, just out of interest sad i know
  12. thanks you two, i have now ordered one and will let you know what I think, before i start recommending them to my customers!
  13. Anybody sell or own an Ecofan, one of my customers asked about them, are they any good? Eco Fan - Accessories | Woodburning Stoves, Multifuel Stoves, Log Burners, Cast Iron Stoves, Wood Burners, Chimney Flue Pipe, UK + Europe Delivery
  14. used the trays but have resorted back to round containers stacks logs on end and i get 12-14 per bag, we can do 40-45 nets per hour using this.
  15. like the way he has put about 22 logs, you get that many he has had to estimate the quantity
  16. Just starting to take off, and it only started raining this afternoon I used to sell Arb Waste i now buy and process cord wood, not even half the work and the logs are looking good, kindling orders have started coming in, i just hope we have snow in Oct and i should be a busy boy
  17. i would be interested in buying the heat sealer
  18. I tried and it worked provided there were no knots, then it jammed and bent one of the six blades i made, ended up with a kindlet
  19. i tried to get one, they are fantastic and much more robust than the ones we have. However, they can not be imported no CE Cert, as above.
  20. i went from a splitter to a processor and thought it was the biggest mistake i had ever made! However, i was getting arb waste, i now buy in cord wood and i can process 10 t+ of logs day, whereas i was doing 3-4 with splitter. If you can get straights 10 ft long then get a processor, if you get twisted arb waste the get a good splitter and circular saw! from my experience they work best. Good to read comments!
  21. Sorry will do pic tomorrow as i have just got back from holiday

  22. anybody tried using a nail kicker, i saw one on youtube and looked good? Nail Kicker denailer
