  1. Looks like an INO flail to me. Possibly an Elite L with front mounting kit. Google it and compare. Looks pretty similar to me. I believe Bomford do rebrand INO stuff. Can they not find an ID plate?
  2. Hi Ash, no worries, I'm pretty sure its the chainsaw valve, but I've been wrong before! Back on the 6th, but PM on here etc and I'll see it. Jim
  3. Hi Ash, did you see my reply before that one on page 1?
  4. 3t capacity (approx 4t gross) trailer is the most I generally recommend behind a 50Hp alpine. Its likely a tractor that size will only weigh 1.5t, so any more and it will struggle. Usually suggest 3.5 or 4t winches, as any larger and an alpine wont pick up high enough off the ground for the butt plate to clear stumps etc.
  5. Are you 100% sure there isnt a little bit of wood wedged in the slot that the splitting ram runs in stopping it from retracting all the way. It can be very hard to spot! When the saw comes down, how close is it to the end of your splitting ram (when the ram is retracted)? Do you have a photo of where you welded the bit on, I dont understand exactly.
  6. Hi Ash, Its almost certainly the chainsaw valve. It sounds like you have taken the cap off one side of the valve and freed that all up. Might be worth taking the cap off the other side of the valve (bit of a bitch to get to, you might have to unbolt the entire valve and leave it hanging on the pipes). Under that cap there is a spring, I wonder if the spring is broken maybe, or there is some corrosion under there so that the valve isnt actuating fully all the time. While you are checking things, just make sure that there is nothing jamming the splitting ram when it returns, as even if there is something little it can just hold it off the stop and reduce the saw power. Please let me know what you find as it helps me fault find in the future!
  7. DO NOT run the sawbench without connecting it to the tractor (or mog) linkage. I have seen what happens if you dont!

    090 bar oil pump

Top man, thanks very much for that! Pictures are ace Might put that off for today!!
  10. Hi guys, got an 090 that isnt oiling the bar. Works OK on the manual pump but the oil is very slow coming out in normal use. Suspect the oil pump. How do you get to it? Engine out? Thanks Jim
  11. Hi Barn, pm or ring me, I have a few contacts and atleast one will definately be able to help. Jim @ Riko 01420 487300
  12. I have only called 999 once, and I had to call them back after 15 mins to make sure they were coming. However when they did eventually arrive they did an excellent job. I think they are good people, but just too stretched!
  13. You must not have got my email reply (ages ago), I cant refund without bank details.... Sometimes you cant win, we haven't done anything wrong here. If you wanted it resolved surely you would have phoned me rather than post on here?
  14. Hi Ty, assuming this is to used on your AGT? The flail mower being much shorter keeps the weight in much closer and your tractor will perform much better on slopes, which is where it really comes into it own!
  15. I would suggest splitter to make 1m long billets, and a sawbench to cut to log size. Processors are not ideal for arb waste as it is usually shorter lengths and larger sizes. Saw and splitter that run off the tractor will fit within £5k+vat.
  16. Its front steeing. Its very light on the back end with the loader, even with that concrete block. I used it for moving snow a couple of winters back, with the 4in1 bucket on the front with a full bucket of wet snow 4WD was needed to reverse. Cab is lovely, when we had it here the a/c was working and everything!
  17. Hi Guys, we supplied that tractor to them about a year ago, it is a genuine tractor. Jim
  18. Think its 4WD Steve. Bit too expensive for its age and size IMO. Though tractors of that age are bullet proof. Would also want hydro for loader work I think.
  19. As far as I know, haven't imported one yet to see for myself, but seems to be yes. I dont have a full spec sheet yet as its only just come out. I cant remember where it comes in costwise, but there wasnt much between the 1.3 and 1.8 grabs anyway. They increased their range a bit, offering the option of standard or hardox grabs and obviously adding the 1.1 and 1.5m grabs
  20. Ok, definitely don't go any bigger than the JL grab on that machine. Sold my last one on Friday, but more coming in a week or so. Only got 3 on order or so might run out again, selling more than we expected! I know it opens up to 700mm, I have the rest written down at work, so could let you know on Monday. I would guess its about 250mm wide. TCD, FYI, they now make a 1.5m opening grab after I pointed out to them what you said about there being a big gap between the 1.3 and 1.8m grabs.
  21. Hi Sam, what sized digger have you got? Anything 3 ton and smaller the JL is the one as its so light. If you've got 5 ton digger go with the Uniforest 1.3m grab. Uniforest now do a 1.1m grab but it is a heavy strong grab so wouldnt want to go on smaller than 3 ton. The JL grab opens to about 700mm and comes with a 1 ton rotor. The Uniforest I usually supply with a 3 ton rotor or for people like TCD a 4.5 ton rotor! The JL grab has recently gone up to £750+vat, but phone me up and say you're from here and I'll do it at the old price of £650+vat for you.
  22. I have come across this with them before. I'm sure I had to take this out on a generator we had, cost about £30 for a week. I will look into it and speak to them. Thanks Jim
  23. Bit of a trek, but Green plant in Guildford have an 18 ton road tow?
  24. Hi, yes thats right. When the chain is on and tensioned that holds it in place.
  25. Pop me a PM or email so I dont forget on Monday. They fit on top of the normal bar, because it has quite a large sprocket to drive the chain on the saw motor if it wasnt on there would be a gap between the chain and the top of the bar. They usually last for ages (atleast a year) but I have bent one before now doing something silly with bent timber! Probably worth having a spare just in case. I was out last weekend for £180 for the processor, +me, +tractor Cheers Jim
