  13. as one of the students whos been asked to sort out this mess, we tried straight winching it but that just pulled limbs off, ambitions i know so i will be keeping an eye on this thread
  14. David, nice simple setup with little equipment. i unfortunately have a croll so i cannot descend on it
  15. i have used one and you will need to have a mark on the camera lense for the line, you cant always get bang on with the camera as it depends of high the tow hitch is wound up as to weather u can see it or not. they are awesome when you have some one stood by the trailer guiding you on, you can get it bang on then. the one iv used had sound as well so people can tell you how short of it you are.
  16. nice video, very clean in full screen mode even in 360 p just googled the contour, how do you mount the camera onto your helmet, which mounting? looks very good, smaller than the go pros as well
  17. thanks for that, as its at college i will keep an eye on it as it grows, be interesting to see it in different stages
  18. so these are in the young form and just forming? is there a second fungi in the 2nd picture underneath the 'white blob' or is it just the bark going funny?
  19. Hi i found these today on a big old beech tree, it has a lot of decay about half way up and has lost quite a few limbs. in one of the pics i poked it to see what the texture was like and it was very soft and as you can see my nail pint stayed in it. so what is it? cheers, gary
  20. most scopes suposdly have a paralax range from 10 yards to infinity so it should be fine. just found one on offer, and they have a lifetime guarentee! Scopes Direct Products
  21. that made me chuckle, im sure thats a moose though?
  22. redfield are very good, i have a keeper mate who has one on his rimmie and i like it. good in low lowlight, holds zero and clear. one thing i forgot before is do you want first focal plane of second? first focal plane is basically the recital changes size through out your magnification range, therefore the mildot aim points are always the same. with second focal plane the recital stays the same therefore your mildot aim points changes through out you magnification range
