    kick back

Wonder if he was weraing head protection but there again, I think this guys brains are in his backside:laugh1:
  3. I would charge extra for them or tell the customer they come at no extra charge:thumbup: Sorry - couldn't resist - some of my home firewood has worm holes in it but just bring enough in to the house for two nights burn - it is ineviatable some firewood will have worm in it!
  4. No Probs All the best
  5. I think you mean a steal:lol: At least the seller is talking to me, arranged the courier to pick it up etc. Purchased one earlier for a bit more as a non runner but the cylinder is a little scored - want one to tune up and hopefully this one will be good enough to do - will do a post on what I do and how it turns out in a while! A few saws come up in Devon - guess it is farming country!
  6. Silverside = 50cc Orangeside = 45cc:thumbdown: The orange cover is still good but the Silverside is more sought after - this one will be muffler modded, ported and tuned - going to enjoy this and hopefully do a report on its progress. Just hope it all comes together.
  7. From memory I thonk this saw is from the 009,010,011 and 012 series, they are old, reed induction engines, pretty solid machines, they won't rev as high as some modern machines but for a bit of wood burner action with a 14-16" bar you will be ok. Just make sure it has good compression and the sprocket is ok - value £65 if it is a bit doggy but running - £100 if it is reasonably well looked after. Model Profile: 012 AVEL
  8. I think you mean that you need to remove the Centrifugal Clutch, not the flywheel unless you are an unemployed gynacologist and are going to get at the pump by removing both crankshaft bearings and getting to it with forceps:001_tt2: Most Stihls are relatively easy to work on, not done a 044 but the sprocket and clutch need to be removed, you may have other parts that need removing such as a large washer and drive pinion - generally the pump is held on with a couple of T27 bolts - sometimes one. Just note that the clutch has a left hand thread! How difficult is it - depends on how good you are:thumbup:
  9. Got a spanking 116SI up for grabs - buy the mounts and you get the saw free.
  10. Hope it isn't a birthday present, got my wife a wok for Christmas once - she still brings it up 15 years later:lol: And it was a nice one:thumbup: .....still going strong:laugh1:
  11. They are probably buying them in at £300:lol:
  12. In my village, if anyone hears one they think it is me but 9 times out of 10 it isn't:001_rolleyes: What it is to have a reputation!
  13. Tis something you do in the privacy of your own home and behind locked doors - did i get it right.......did !??? Version 2 - it is what I do until the wife finds out and says what I should do:lol:
  14. You know you want my 116SI - tached up now to 12,000RPM:thumbup:
  15. Quiet chainsaw - thats a bit gay - just been using my muffler modded 345 today - I love the sound, woke a few people up I am sure:thumbup: You would probably need a much bigger muffler with added baffles and larger volumetric capacity - it would kill the power though. What is the reason?
  16. I guess you are VAT registered? It is probably that the businesses my wife does are Ltd companies but her accounts are always signed off by the accountants!
  17. All book keepers should be registered by HMRC as well - the reason is for reporting money laundering and costs my misses £90 per year - can't imagine many know about it but she has done payrol for 30 years and is now self employed but up to date with new legislation. If the original company has been wound up i.e has gone bankrupt, you will be in a long list of creditors but if the accountands have taken over the old accountants, that is a very different matter. A book keeper can PREPARE accounts but the end of year accounts MUST be signed off by a registered accountant - the advice is, a book keeper for day to day paperwork and account preparation and an accountant to sign off the accounts. The book keeper will do all the "dirty" work at a fraction of the cost of an accountant and keeps your costs down - anyone in North Herts want my misses to do their books:thumbup:
  18. There are plenty of "tarted up old dogs" on ebay but mine are sound workers once I have worked on them - good compression, pressure checked, fully stripped, inspected and rebuilt - I can't make an old saw new but do get them back in to clean sound mechanical condition:thumbup:

Sorry....a huge saw....a huge SAW .......no no no - this should be SAWS:thumbup: Haven't you heard of CAD - Chainsaw Acquisition Dissorder - I satrted with a Stihl 009 and won't mention how many I think I may have now:laugh1:
  20. Good advice - think you must hang around the same places I do:thumbup1:
  21. Yes - just realised that - just got a 346 in that I want to port and muffler mod - the carb boots are all very similar 345,346, 353, 350, 357 - think Husky flipped when they fitted the plastic clip - don't get me wrong, I love these saws but that part is better replaced with a jubillee clip type fastner. I always do this as a matter of course before the dreaded idle problems and impending seizure of both man and machine
  22. Go back to your bank and say that you think the cheque has been fraudently cashed and you wish them to investigate it as the recipient has denied receiving funds - that should do it:thumbup: If it doesn't report it to the police, get a crime record number and tell the accountant that you are doing so, that should get their bums fluttering!
