Glad I was not near the lorry or walking/driving past as the timber fell off it (about 45 sec into it) but I am sure the hi vis and hard hats would have helped

What is the ground like? Flat? Dry? If so you could try a bobcat think they are called Skidsteer solutions i got on with it very well

Over £500 for a ipad2 you can pick them up for less and I would not bother with 3G as you can link it with ur I phone (hotspot as said above) next month ( I think) you will not need to plug it into ur pc as you can do it via the cloud I love my iPad use it every day for quotes accounts sending invoices surveying etc.. When I was In the Army I used to live in a block of 30 men we all had our own rooms but we sheared a fridge. I used to keep a my milk and and butter in there and every one started helping them selfs to my butter. after about 3 months I got really pissed off with it so what I did was scoup out half the butter from a new tub and took a dump in it then melted the butter that I had taken out and poured it over and put it back in the fridge to set! Save to say after about a week off people nicking my butter they stoped

I have lots of jobs were I have said sorry we cant work on that tree due to nesting birds and they have said ok fine can you come back in a week because they will be gone! (they have knocked the nest out)

If the job is a over £15k I ask for 10% before I start I also use credit focus (credit check from barclays) but this is only for commercial work i also draw up a contract. for private work I get them to sign the quote before I start also I can normaly tell if they are going to be a pain in the bum!
