  1. Hi mate. Did you get my PM the other day?

  2. Hi Ian. Just checking you got my PM the other day.

  3. After having no end of crummy jobs, took the plunge and went self-employed. Happy to be keeping my head above water...just. Finding a wonderful woman who was foolish enough to agree to marry me. My avatar. Who knows what we can achieve if we give it a go!
  4. All day weeding and strimming...mmm betty swallocks!
  5. Well done mate.
  6. Ditto. Velcro at top is fine, but need buckles for the feet.
  7. It is an expensive bit of paper, but if you're focused more on forestry then it might be worth it, thinning operations etc. Just a thought.
  8. Don't be in a rush to get quicker (think that makes sense!) Speed comes from efficiency, and efficiency comes with practice, practice and more practice! Take your time, learn what you need to learn for your assessments and keep going. I passed my 39 last December, and I reckon I'll be an average climber in 5 or 6 years!
  9. Cheers lads.
  10. Cheers MattyF.
  11. Reduction of a cherry that was too big for it's location, completely dominates the small garden behind the wall. Awkward as heck to move around in too. Still got a lot to learn! No before pic, doh! 1st pic is part way through the job, 2nd is the end result.
  12. Whoa, that really was a tight fit!
  13. Vertical speedline-tastic!
  14. Thank you for answering my question.
  15. Couldn't agree more.
  16. If time was a factor then fair enough.
  17. Forgive what maybe an stupid question, but couldn't you have climbed higher and dismantled it in smaller bits?
  18. I like the way that website states you must have an arborist license! Plus it can be used from the ground or in a skylift...mmm, what about from a rope and harness? lol
  19. Looks like they haven't changed much, which is a very good thing. If it ain't broke...
  20. I kid ye not, I saw an open top bus in a country lane near me a few weeks ago doing exactly the same job! I laughed out loud when I saw it as it was a local tour bus!
  21. I use the standard non-SRT sequoia. Can't fault it for comfort, easy to adjust. Stuck an anchor ring and tool clips on and away I went.
  22. Well done mate, glad it all went well.
  23. Cracking!
  24. Cool, I love winning things. But what's a first aid kit? Well done everyone, all for a great cause.
  25. Thanks guys!
