  1. Do them now they will be fine. My only advice is to make sure you cut back to growth at least as thick as your finger. Any less and it may not regenerate.
  2. Why do you think they are all on minimum wage? Most of those I come across earn considerably more.
  3. If the migrants are such a drain, how come we are the most successful country in the union?
  4. I agree that the numbers coming in is putting pressure on housing, schools and the NHS but their contributions to the tax revenue pays for any medical care and NHS and schooling. They are not all scrounging theives as you like to think, but are hard working individuals who have come here to work and make a decent life for themselves. Part of the reason for Britains success over the recent years is because of immigrant labour. Looks like you are one of those who have been conned by brexiteers.
  5. It's all the unskilled immigrants that do all the work. Chuck them out and the NHS would collapse, there would be no one to pick fruit deliver parcels or build houses and no one contributing valuable tax revenue to the treasury to pay for it all, most of all our pensions.
  6. Hit it hard and do it in one go. If you do little bits at a time it will look awful for years and the churchgoers (potential clients) will notice it. Don't wait until the spring, now will be fine.
  7. 1.5 cu m!
  8. We got gigaclear in and they put fibre round the whole village giving 100 mps. Sadly they stopped at the end of our road 100 meters away and have refused to go any further. BT want £40k from the residents to bring in fibre!
  9. We now only use 270gsm sheets with tie holes every 50cm. Every hole is used and we hang logs rather than tie down solid and this has eliminated ripping and blowing off. Once wind gets in under a corner the sheets are ripped and ruined. We leave the sides open too.
  10. Jamie Oliver and his mate jimmy. They showed someone hollowing out a tree trunk to make a beehive
  11. Did anyone see the homemade bee hive on Jamie and jimmy tonight. Looked interesting and wondered if anyone had tried it. If so did it fork?
  12. I've heard it's not that simple and block up all the time (I asked my binderberger dealer about it). However that one looks like it's working ok.
  13. I see now you prob won't want it. Someone else might though!
  14. I've got around 40 cu m of barn stored conifer, all split and stacked in 3ft lengths. Nice and dry ready to burn Tonbridge Kent
  15. Bugger to skin
  16. I'd agree with above. Alder grows well and coppices well too. Good logs. Planting in groups is always best as they all rely on the same mycorrhizae and tend to do better. They also grow a similar speeds which is important. I've seen goat willow used to 'nurse' oaks into tall trees but it tended to swamp instead.
  17. Yes Jonathon still going strong
  18. There is also a tiny light on the sensor, if you spin the flywheel slowly you can see it come on and off (or not!). Check there isn't a woodchip hiding there. It may be that your high and low settings are out too, but you would need to speak overland to know how to check them. It's not difficult.
  19. Seems you put in big kindling and get slightly smaller kindling out.mmm
  20. Climber and or groundsman required for busy Tonbridge based firm. Salary dependant on experience and qualifications. Phone 07973264952 or [email protected]
  21. That blade is upside down. We use them all the time. I'm afraid they work much better without the guard but you need helmet visor and if poss glasses too. If it's not too hot felling pants stop the stones bruising your legs.
  22. Just do it, get CIS 6 it makes life so much simpler. If you get CIS4 they will deduct tax (which you claim back later if necessary). Your accountant should sort you out.
  23. I've run Schleising Chippers for 30 years and wouldn't change for any reason. I'm sure the forst is excellent but if it ain't broke why fix it.
  24. I had this problem and it was the metal insert as described earlier.
  25. We've always run our mog on motorways, in fact most of the work we did was tree thinning on motorways. The information I was given said it was all legal and above board.
