  1. thank god you two kissed and made up, now who wants to buy some nice apple logs off me ,1 ton for 3.5cm or 3 bags at 850 x850 x850 x850 x850 x850 x..............................
  2. i dont climb so cant comment on the length of time they last jumping around the tops of trees , but pruneing and doing ground work always use mine with a doiler suit on i find its the snaggs and thorns that do the worst damage to them.

  4. its alder from a huge wind break that we took down from an orchard, we burnt most on site:confused1:
  5. i am giving the exact same bags a try this year to they are bigger than thoses ,(seed potatoe bags) slightly bigger 1 and half ton of seed pots in a bag but i dont think i will put the logs in until mid summer

  7. hears my little lot for next winter,starting to hate the sight of timber.
  8. if those old tree roots need to come out then get a digger in and then under drain it at the same time. one of the best things to set to dry it up is willow they love their roots in water and damp conditions.

  11. one of the orchards we work in use willow as a wind break ,set about 2ft apart they branch out and screen up very thick , just look a sham when they are flailed.
  12. ok this is getting childish now!! we all know its poplar so let it go!
  13. think its a great idea , i have just set an ash wind break spaceing a meter apart. a neighbourgh of mine has a horse chestnut headge and an ash headge both about 12 to 15 years old they look realy original!!

  15. guess the tree's grew around it must have been there for a couple of decades!
  16. yeh my thoughts,get a contract with a haulage firm and bulk it in. guessing your on the isle of man cant you float it across:thumbup:

  18. so this year i should be selling our 1.4 cu meter pallet box of poplar for £100 and a box of apple for £120 or is this still cheap?
