  1. again with alot of these things i think to be potent huge quantitys need to be digested for it to become sevear, we sell potatoes to a gent who feeds them to his shires, he claims that they will only bloat if they have too much.
  2. i know that ragwort is a badun for hourse , but never knew that chickweed was ? i eat chickweed in the spring .
  3. yew is poisonous to deer if they eat huge ammounts of it, they know when to stop eating it, think the berries can be eaten but the seeds are poisonous inside.
  4. bloody windy , fairly long lengths too. good stuff
  5. i prune alot of apple orchards the branches self graft all the time !
  6. hi mate,had and still have patella tendonitis {knee cap joint} used to do alot of weight training and rugby , cricket ect as well as my job took its toll had to rethink the way i ran my life,lost weight stopped doing heavy lifting {stupid lifting on my own} watched what i was doing assessed every move and it helped , maybe in your case a lighter saw limmit your range of movement for a time . your still young dont bugger ya self up at this age.
  7. get people to walk there dogs in there. there is a chemical you can get that deer and rabbits dont like that you lay down , but not pheaseable for 3 acres, keep all the warrens close to under control try and encourage stoats weasils into the area , get someone in to controll the deer perhaps

  10. no they are hares! there are muntys there and squirrels too but the hare climbs the tree's first limbs are about 3 ft off ground,the trees that are eaten the limbs are only a ft off the ground, the highest i have seen hare damage is over 6ft
  11. these were from an orchard just after the cold snap we had after xmas ,there are even knoring marks in the tops of the tree's these are from hares!
  12. my sister told me once one of her friends was going to the doctors for a cervical check up and on her way there she needed a pee so she pulled her car over had one and wiped her self with the window screen duster from the car... when being examined by the doctor he asked her if she used green shield stamps and if they still use a book to keep them in now days as where she had one stuck wasnt the best place to keep it!!
  13. amazing, my girlfriends dad used to fly them until, one oneday come in a bit hard and dislocated his shoulder!! i hear that the harpy eagle has been known to crush monkeys skulls.
  14. i dont have a ticket for a top handle saw but have just finnished prunning the 1000th apple tree today(started on boxing day) of a little orchard i have to do before i start on a 5000 tree one next month, cut and hold one handed as well as two handed , the thing is i think that you will get more injurie from repetive strain and muscle soreness from useing it one handed, my forarms are like popeye tonight use two hands when possible.

  17. is that a picture of you on creatine on your avitar!! ha ha ha ha not affected you at all!!only joking ian, just drink plenty of fluids (water ) dont over do it on the creatine , loads of top sports (persons) use it eat a well balanced diet , and incorparate power cleans in your training and you'll be fine:thumbup:
  18. ha ha ha ha so true so true! just before xmas had alot of gas oil deliverd to our farm 1 hour later had a " transit tipper " follow with about a weel barrow worth of logs in the back of it supposedly looking for an address , i approched them with a face like thunder kindly pointing to a large heap of timber ,saying do i look like i need logs, he wanted to turn around in our yard (to have a look at the derv tanks) to go back, i made him reverse up the lane, his last words to me in a mockeny irish tounge was why are you being like this its not as though i going to steal anything!!!!!
