  4. hahahaha God almighty those are tight uniforms. loving the ram, why its not at the front I have no idea

  6. I have found it great fun, I have loved learning how it works and as a result I feel more confident with my climbing in general. I still use DdRT, but I find with having the 2 systems it gives me options. With the RW or indeed the HH, it has just opened up the world of SRT and made it more practical to arbs. The fact with RW or HH you can go up and down to me makes it a more practical system then the traditional SRT systems where you can only go up. Would recommend it to anyone to at least give it a try.
  7. Could just use a small tape sling like on the spiderjack
  8. Would be nice if you could have a zig zag type attachment for the HC. would that be possible?
  9. Blackbush , but occasionally Arran 10yr, normally with a few drops of water to release the flavour. ummmm whiskey
  10. windsor Great Park https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/thecrownestate/vacancies.aspx
  11. I want to say the cyclist, as we get the same trouble when doing these trees on the main roads in London, but I can only see 1 groundy (there maybe a second). If this is the case to send out a 2 man crew to do this type of work is just not sensible and is asking for trouble. In reality I blame the contractors for going into these contract with such low prices, puts on massive pressure on people to hit targets.
  12. How does it feel better or as good as a hitch?
  13. maybe some low wire entanglements either side of the fence makes it more fun when the fall over but costs a fortune in barbwire but endless fun watching them get out
  14. A neighbour of mine who works in construction told me that one the first day of a big job in London, they had to CDT on the spot 30%. Of that 30% he said 70% got sacked on the spot when there results came back. This was a big public project with a workforce of several hundred so not a huge a number as it seems but still massive. These checks were carried out randomly throughout the contract till the final day, thankfully the numbers of positive tests went down

  16. Think there was a guy from Holland using it, he was talking about it on Treebuzz I think, he seemed very impressed with it and he has put up a few videos, one which was on a small oak tree, from the videos it seemed pretty good. He reckons he can get by on 2 batteries a day [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNXWCcaiVyo&list=UUKsYU45G1UAcZjkgV8BPHCg&index=1]Husqvarna T536 LiXp on a small oak.mp4 - YouTube[/ame]
  17. i agree, could you charge it of the chipper, though may not have the chipper on long enough to get a full charge. Even so its a potential option, or just charge your batteries over night and top up on the way to the job I currently do a lot of street trees such as large london plane strips, sometimes there can be 3 or even 4 people up on tree and the noise even without the chipper is deafening, communication between climbers and groundsmen is nigh on impossible unless your blessed with the voice of a Regimental Sergeant Major. Add on top of this London background noise and a chipper running constantly, you could raise the dead. I really look forward to seeing how this saw performs in the real world, and if the technology does take of then things will only get better. As for battery prices the cheapest petrol in my area is apparently 128.9p/litre therefore a 5L can is £6.40 add on a few pence for 2 stroke now if the battery lasts more than the equivalent of 113 litres then you are onto a winner. How much fuel do you use a day in your toppers now? and of that fuel how much is wasted idling between cuts?
  18. Shame saw the £247 and got uber excited, even so all that is still cheaper than a 201t and quieter and no more buying petrol and mix, save the petrol for the big saws. Must say I am really excited about this saw I hope it does well, would be tempted to get rid of my 201 and replace it with this, I mainly do pruning work so this would be ideal
  19. Just to check the battery is separate and is not included?
  20. THink your right they have the contract around Lambeth (I think) so that could be them
  21. Dont forget the interest
  22. looks good, would love to have a proper go at that. Well done
  23. Cant wait to go. Not sure where I am going yet my mate is organising it. Went to Bormio last time. might have to book the planks in for a wax
  24. Same not seen or used on for tree work but its a beast like a wee mountain goat, never seen one been towed out. though towed a hmmve with one after a yank failed on his river crossing.
