  1. Savil gardens might. wouldn't have thought Guards would take it as there are no stables up there. That said I think most of the horse path around the park are wood chip give the estate office ring number is 01753 860 222. very helpful and friendly
  2. Sand, that seems to bugger up most things. Failing that add a few other bits and bobs and some gues electronic and hey presto you have flying pikies
  3. Always love a good sail the faster the better, got a RS 100 which is awesome fun when the right way up, best relaxation i get especially when racing (badly)
  4. If it's the one in the video then my boss has one on trial at the moment, I have used it a little. On the whole i thought it worked. It looks like they have tried to think about how its going to be used but little things I felt let it down. It looks good and on the whole it chips well. We mainly do street trees in london, so our chippers get abused, so i don't think it would last to long with us. But maybe with a company that does private work where your not parked right under the tree it might last longer. -The hopper is very small -Many of the cables and pipes are exposed so on the one hand maybe easy to fix but also easily damaged -Mud flaps are very flimsy (so don't stand on them) -The throttle leaver is made of flimsy plastic so bound to go -Oh and the emergency stop is quite hard to hit been such a small button behind the lip of the hopper. But it does stop everything. - And with timber about 4-6 inches(eucalyptus in this case) the stress control allowed it to stall and consequently jam, though I am sure this is easily adjusted, but on the plus it was very easy to clear the jam In my humble opinion it just needs a little beefing up to make it my resistant to tree surgeons, I must add I only had a quick go with it. Personally I would if i could afford it go for a TP 200 on a turntable that thing is bombproof
  5. a neigbour of mine worked on a big building project were they had CDT, they usually diid about 30% of the workforce, on one occasion i think at the start of the project over half failed and were fired. I personally have no problem with been tested, had many a test whilst in the army, my best mate is an airline pilot and they get tested. It seems to me this job is dangerous enough, why make it more dangerous. Some may say its harsh because they had a spliff on a friday night and its still in the system 30 days later, but if it gives me piece of mind that people on the site are in as healthy state as they can be then I am happy, and dont have the worry that if it goes tits up that i am covered and they are, like people have said if the insurance company think the accident is caused by someone on dope or whatever they will sure as hell not pay out and then where are you all left
  6. YAWN its illegal, un-profesional, stupid, rude, anti social, sad, pathetic, disrespectful to those you work with, and who's property your working on both drink and drugs can have serious long term effects on your health and when you do mess up i doubt the insurance company will have much sympathy for you, and if you hurt someone i doubt when they rinse you dry through the court for every penny you have that judge will give two hoots that you thought you were relaxed and you climbed better. Would you get into a plane for your holiday if you knew the pilot was of his trolly?
  7. CE Climb System - Sorbus International Ltd
  8. BBC Sport - Dereck Chisora and David Haye's feud continues think this press conference says it all about them. And there was me thinking HAye had retired.
  9. you can also get cheap GPS receivers that connect to your laptop. I have an Evermore GM-R900 which i plug into my laptop and i can do all the things that a normal gps can do, except i have a nice big map also it also is magnetic and waterproof so easy to mount
  10. I have anquet which works on both windows and Mac
  11. I think it should be pointed out that they are a last option. They have to get past the half drunk passengers first
  12. Hi there people I am not sure if i am in the right forum but thought this might be a good place to start. I have an uncle who is looking to build a hunt table. He is looking either for Yew or Walnut or similar types of wood. He was just wondering how much timber would cost and were it could be found. The table would be 10ft by 4.5ft roughly so 3 planks of 10x1.5 Cheers for your help
  13. Its all a cunning plan so that we win the discus, javelin and hammer events oh and shot put
  14. Well i have driven NA, TDI 200, 300, TD, Td5's and TDCis and the drive does get better the newer they are. I currently have a Td5 which is great (might get it chipped though) it pulls great drives well on and of road and is quieter than my old 200. The tdci i have only driven briefly and it drove lovely, the 6th gear i found hand on the longer journeys. But never got to work it. I recon its a good vehicle but, they have tried to make the interior to fancy making it smaller in the cab and i feel with the dash a little less practical. but either way I think you will get a good vehicle. Are you going for second hand if you go for the TDci
  15. At last I think I have done an eye to eye that looks and feels right (i hope)
  16. I like these a lot Just wish i had the imagination and skills to do a project like any of these, really inspiring. Great thread look forward to seeing more
  17. I had the same problem but it will just click once you get over the initial shock of driving such a large vehicle (perhaps not best wording) if in doubt slow it down. I found the gears the hardest part s they tend to be stiff and clunky, and don't be afraid to talk yourself through what you are doing out loud, i find that helps. Good luck
  18. If only they made a tipper version of the Jackal or the bigger Coyote 6x6.
  19. Hows about a Pinzgauer there awesome, not sure how practical it would be for work
  20. think there was some feedback on that in the Rope Wrench thread (rope-wrench-feedback) Loads of useful stuff on there and pics of setups including spiderjack , hope that helps. You will have to trawl through quite a few pages to find it though good luck withit
  21. Don't fancy a climb in body armour. PPE is bad enough in the heat.
  22. The more I read and see the more I want to give this a go. It sounds like a really versatile and flexible system. Is it really that good?
