Hi Jon, inspired by your reminding me of the small bar on the 66 I went and got it out, I had forgotten it wasn't running right:sad: so have spent the day tinkering rebuilt the carb etc etc eventually went for a pressure test and found half the head gasket had dissolved and fallen out from the front So no fun for me On the plus side found a 024 under the bench and cleaned it up runs a treat not the 66 though All he best rich

  12. hi jon really wet here now- fields sodden and slushy, just keeping to yards and hard tracks. was out cutting tuesday and just looking at a tree sent a pile of snow down my neck brrr i work a kingston lacy and the house / gardens looked like a christmas card:thumbup: rich

  15. That's right tree of heaven has twigs/young shoots and stems that look like ash
  16. I think the river may be a red herring? It's a bit difficult from the pic but I would guess tree of heaven (ailanthus altissima) https://secure.fera.defra.gov.uk/nonnativespecies/factsheet/factsheet.cfm?speciesId=101 From the pic it looks as if it is suckers or has been mowed/strimmed

  19. ive got the same rat and same trap and same bait in my shed! wildlife cam revealed it was a mouse and too light for the tread to spring so feeding it to make heavier and one day it will get caught out:thumbup:
