  8. Cutting the chain seems to have worked for my privet hedge as well. I cut a gap and dug the soil away. The old stems have a massive crop of mushrooms every year. I assumed the hedge was doomed so coppiced right to the ground, and it seems to have bounced back better than ever!
  9. Hi doobin , try loxtons in ilminster as they service ours and may know of one close to you as they are the aebi dealer, the other thing peter loxton was developing was a remote control mower for slopes, cheers rich
  10. That would be about right, the caddy is max 1500kg towing cap, so properly seasoned wood is the way forward, I have been offered a 8x5 x2 ft deep tipper , will see how it looks tomorrow, not sure on the make but could be on the limit with 2 cube in, may have to stick to dumpy bags as I carnt afford the 1200kg plus a 500kg trailer weight Cheers rich
  11. hi mr sparrow, i actually would specify to either wind row or spread the brash on the stumps otherwise the deer eat all the regrowth! a tidy wood isnt a good wood for wildlife good luck rich

  14. per m3 or by cord ?
  15. A lot to think about! Thanks all I am still leaning toward a gd85 with mesh sides (no tachometer!!!)
  16. I saw you have a grab and am jealous! I have had to move 2000 scrap bricks and a grab would have been good, I like the idea of pallet forks to hold the bag open:thumbup: Cheers rich
  17. Ok thanks doobin ps I ended up with a little komatsu pco5 in the end from a guy in bath called budd plant really pleased with the service, ter cert and the digger has been brilliant I recon I might lift 1/2 a bag with it and top up by hand at that weight Thanks again rich
