  1. ^ I was just about to recommend this to you Dave. See you Friday! Chris
  2. The odd thing is the idle was fine, it was a bit 'boggy' so i adjusted the L screw, picked up amazingly. I'll do a ground up adjustment and see if i can get it to run just right. Thanks for all the advice chaps, i'll get on it! Chris
  3. So i got my 150T, great saw, put it straight onto Aspen (i'm a convert - was the only choice for me) So, it'd run through about 15 tanks, took a little while to get warmed up, no massive issue, revs up to full speed correctly (1/8th turn on L screw), cuts fine BUT when i come off the throttle it cuts out, same thing on application of the chainbrake. Complete nightmare when for example you're putting in a sink cut, then back cut up a tree. So i decided just to experiment that i would run it on a 2 stroke mix with petrol...and it didn't miss a beat all day, held revs, no cutting out. Perfect. So why doesn't it work properly on Aspen? As claimed it's meant to be a 'like for like' fuel. As i said, i'm a convert to Aspen, happy to wear the price increase, but unwilling to have my small engined machines run like a sack of... (I also use Aspen on my 550XPG and 372) Answers here please! Cheers, Chris
  4. DMM or Petzl. You'll not regret it, buy cheap, buy twice! (And be annoyed in the process!)
  5. Any news Rob? Want a few more bits off you too and will lump them in one order. Cheers Edit - is this in fact it - under the MS192C-E? Stihl narrow kerf .375 lo pro .043 39 drive links Product code: 3610 003 0039 Lightweight chain for smallest chainsaws and pole saws. Cuts a very narrow kerf and makes the most of smaller chainsaws low power. Use with a .043 guage bar.
  6. Meindl Airstreams Worth the extra cash, i've got a pair that i've had re-soled and i've had almost 3 years out of them. Got them from Nod at Treeworker. Good chap. Chainsaw boots - Treeworker.co.uk I'd never buy Stein boots, remember you've got to be in the at least 8 hours a day. Go with a company who've been making boots for a long, long time! Chris
  7. On the advice you've given in your threads in the past, if that hadn't worked then i'm sure it'd have been heading your way! It was shambolic pre tweak - all good now!
  8. Night and day. K&H are great, longer lasting wedges for when you have to smash wedges in!
  9. Here! Plastic Handle for High Lift Wedges | Clark Forest : Wedges & Spares Get 'em before the 3rd June if they're branded Stihl! Chris
  10. Bloody 'ell Rob! You're like the anti-Stihl policy by being as useful as is humanly possible! I'll be ordering some from you soon! Cheers for being a legend and saving us headaches!
  11. Belting, great little saw, will be perfect for reductions up to say 8" timber. It'll great until i need to pull out a 200T!
  12. The guy who sorted that for you must be some seriously handsome, skilled wizard. Just a hunch!
  13. Dan - running yours on Aspen, did you have to adjust much other than a 1/4(ish) turn on the L screw?
  14. Rob, (And this may be of use to others) Is this chain you sell "Stihl narrow kerf .375 lo pro .043 39 drive links" Product code: 3610 003 0039 suitable for the MS150T? And i assume it'll take the 3.2mm (1/8") files are what i'd use with this saw? Posted it here for reference for others. Cheers, Chris
  15. And lightening on an 18" bar! Still going strong here Spud. Do you have the part number for the double felling dogs by any chance?
  16. Oh, and some Stihl .325 .58 chain for Husky's - that'd be good!
  17. As long as it's THIS specific Stanley flask http://shootinguk.media.ipcdigital.co.uk/502/0000009dd/2f08_orh100000w489/STANLEY-FLASK.jpg Spares for Storm Kettles would be useful. And also stock Dolmar!

Definitely Sycamore. Wrong bark for SC and the bud casings are Sycamore...
  19. No doubt! But $25 for USPS or $45.95 for FedEx! I'm only after wedges! I'll figure something out!
  20. Cheers Hodge, i did email them, with no reply to ask them if they did.
  21. Any ideas anyone? My Oregon and Stihl ones get battered, fallers in the US rate the K & H ones... Help! Cheers
  22. That's the truth! It could be so good but people with no focus organise it, if they don't understand what people want to see then how are they going to provide it?! Shame but perhaps inevitable, i'd give it another go if they promised a complete revamp and events. Not that it's going to happen. Oh and industry and competition supporting companies like Treeworker being around really helps, maybe there needs to be more forethought...
  23. I've had a jacket, leaked endlessly, sent it back and they denied my claim, 2 days after it was back i got soaked through. Bought a Stein grinder guard recently and one of the welds on the bottom bracing bar broke within 2 hours of use. A climbing a use bought a throw line cube, stitching has come off leaving one of the flex supports poking out. Another chap i work for bought a Stein bag which fell to bits and the zips failed. As was said "Friends don't let friends use Stein". People get my honest opinion of their gear, the grinder guards were their last chance with me. (They were a last ditch option anyway - i did wonder how badly they could make something so simple!)
  24. One of the chaps i subcontract to and i made the decision last year not to go to the show, it just isn't worth the drive down, not even for the garden walkaround! Capel seriously need to pull their fingers out to get more exhibitors in there (less cost per stall?!) and a wider variety of stalls. Take a lead from the arb show/APF... Shame as it was a great start to the year's shows. Chris
