  1. I've seen a small Bahco felling bar around and they're really useful for snapping steps on larger timber etc, BUT i've also seen a Stihl one, with an bulked up section on the bottom end of the handle for knocking in wedges. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? Cheers, Chris
  2. Hi Rob, Re: The extra foot to go on the Dual Cant Hook, obviously you can turn larger timber with the Dual, but how does the stability fare when using the one foot rather than two for logging up timber as you would with the TimberJack? Workable? Afraid I can't buy both! Thanks, Chris
  3. Hi Rob, Are there any plans to enable Husky bars to run on Stihl machines? From reading this it's only Stihl bars to go on the D009 mount. Would this work? I dont see as the 7mm oiler hole would cause any issues? And I assume the 3/8th sprocket on either saw would run .058 or .063 chain? Thanks, Chris
  4. Probably jealous of the walling. Nice and tidy that!
  5. Yes. But that'd be too simple wouldn't it?!
  6. Pictures and info?
  7. Look forward to that vid, are you reviewing it? Wonder how the wear will compare, are you using it for milling? Chris
  8. As an aside I don't find the flex to be an issue in any of the uses I've had for it. If I got a 36" bar or longer I'd probably be tempted to get a solid bar. Chris
  9. I'll post some pictures of mine up if that's any use? On my 550, 372 and 550. Should have bought shares!!
  10. I've found the lightweight bars to have more flex than the standard solid Sugi bars. BUT the 28" bar i have on my 395 is far easier to handle than the 660 on the 30" solid i had. The paint does come off them though! Upsetting when it starts to flake!
  11. Definitely one to keep looking at and contact the client about. Nice reduction Hama - kept a nice shape!
  12. Pick one round here, i'd guess white, and a transit. All and sundry are after 'scrap'.
  13. Thanks for the confirmation guys, i'll post up pictures of the tree asap, i think it would be advisable to get someone with indemnity insurance to write up a report on this tree. If the tree were to go it'd be a high profile and unpopular move for the area, and i feel would bring negative publicity to my company.
  14. Did you drag it back?
  15. The fruiting bodies were definitely attached to the tree; re: other fruiting bodies present with Pleurotus being a secondary, i couldn't tell, the tree is covered with ivy! Chris
  16. These images any more help? Chris
  17. My two guesses were degraded remnants of A. Mellea (long shot) or P.Squarrosa. There were no rhizomorphs, though this isn't definitive and they are quite defined. Sadly this is a fantastic tree, great benefit to the area, two doors up from a great Beech i took down that had Ganoderma. I'll put pictures from that up in todays job thread. Thanks, Chris
  18. Any ideas, i have two but amongst the wise men i don't want to share! Any help would be massively appreciated, the tree is approx 25m + tight location, roadside, suppressed roots from building work and driveway, though not recent. Chris
  19. I'm getting a pair for my forestry work to save my stretch airs. I've never had issues with the zips, but i ALWAYS wash them with the zips done up and buttoned up.
  20. This stuff. It's great. Plantoil - Home Page
  21. Definitely, was just a thought, being in the final throes of sorting my own website it makes you realise how much is required behind the scenes!
  22. Daily MASH, not mail. The mash is a humorous take on news stories, and some stuff just plain old made up!
  23. No matter at all, it's a shame you can do a drop down 'free gift' box on the ordering page that has a list of gifts relative to order value. That's save the paperwork, but ruin the surprise!
  24. Hopefully you'll keep notes! The wedges were a massive bonus, they'll be getting a thorough test very shortly!
