  1. As above. 1/2 groundsmen needed tomorrow and Tuesday due to staff illness. PM if interested ASAP. Thanks, Chris

Oh I'm not worried SawTroll, I've used enough 560's to know that the chain brake won't fail or the clutch springs disintegrate, or oiler pack up up on the Dolmar, and if something does happen then I've got top notch support that seems faster than my local greedy, tight-fisted, half-arsed Husky dealer who takes a week to get a bolt and then supplies me with the wrong one. There's some facts for you. If Husky want to go down the same path as Stihl with their QC, that's great. There are more competitive saw manufacturers out there willing to take their clients.

TOP HEAVY as well as poorly balanced? Is there anything going for these saws?!!

Storming Steve, on a 24" bar now, pulls strong and has never let me down! They don't make em like they used to!!

SawTroll, seriously. Enough. I don't want a 560, blah-di-blah...faster cutting this, balance that... I've been let down more than once by my 550, snapped chain brake bands, a critical safety feature, it went back FOUR times in the first three months of owning it, new carb, new breather, new software, the list goes on. I barely used it and wished I'd not wasted my money on it. Now it's sorted it's great, but it wasn't worth the hassle and cost me money, it wasn't released as a professional saw, no matter what it is now! This is a Dolmar and Echo thread, I don't want to hear about Husky, been there and done that. Cheers for all the feedback, I'm going to get on it asap! Shavey - do you do the Echo 360 also? Cheers, Chris

How did you find it compared to the Echo CS620 TCD?

This is mainly a collation of information from 5 or more threads about what's currently out there...TCD and Shavey have provided loads of info on what there is, and I want to know prices and availability... As far as i'm aware TCD and SHavey import these, by these I mean the 5105 and 6100. Are these Euro or US imports? Any differences? After being exceptionally obtuse and buying a 550 instead of the 5105 because I was concerned about dealer support I'm actually going to do the right thing with my 60cc saw, and after Christmas certainly get another 50cc in the form of a 5105-H. Can TCD and SHavey put up ball park prices so I know what the situation is? And to serve as a reference in the future for other people? Cheers, Chris
  9. Yeah - we all suffer from that! I liken mine toi stirring porridge with variable results! Is there a remedy? Replace/tighten up linkages?
  10. I've got the 3 litre, I drove the 2.3 and found it to asthmatic even unladen. If you tow a 750kg chipper, with a full load on I felt that it would just be a struggle. The compromise is that you get poorer economy, but it does pull well.
  11. Awesome! Insane sections being rigged off in the X video! Nice work August!
  12. No doubt in forestry it's hard to justify, my work is 90% Arb and I've worked it into my costings, add massive health benefits, less machinery breakdowns, convenience of less fuel stops, longer fuel storage life...the list goes on! In my situation it works well, it's not for everyone, I know that! When I look at my income from the job compared to the expense of Aspen it's a no brainer!
  13. I hear this a lot, fuel I put in my saws & blower is a minor cost, vehicles are what REALLY cost you in terms of fuel.
  14. Using anthracite but want FREE wood? Once again... Cut split and stacked neatly too? Anyway, interesting reading for a future project, thanks AT members for your input into this!
  15. You'd mean that it gets used as an expensive paperweight/doorstop.
  16. Yeah, up on Wincobank will do that to a company, surrounded by areas that you wouldn't leave anything not bolted down. Sorry to hear of your troubles.
  17. Where are you working in Sheffield Treemon?
  18. I was at the show early on Friday - but I wasn't trekking around in the pouring rain for a beanie!! Shame really!
  19. Will the K095 bars fit on a 560? Could be tempted for an 18" solid if I can make the 560 3/8th...
  20. I was really looking forward to the product too! I always 'burp' any can in hot weather, this is just plain old rubbish, creates a seal and you have to angle it so the seal is broken and it fills. Just felt the build quality is poor compared to the cheaper Stihl spouts, I've never broke one of those. This should be testament to me taking care of stuff! Other than that I'm an Aspen evangelist, had to use red Stihl two stroke mix today on a subbing job, confined space = headache! Chris
  21. FillPartners are the single worst £17 I've ever spent, the top plastic piece snapped off and the isn't a decent pressure release for auto fill on Husky saws. If only Aspen would accept not being fit for purpose as being a decent reason for a refund! (And I do use Aspen in everything, without complaining about the price..!)
  22. If you're set up for a 16mm system then get the 16mm Teufelberger, I use the 14mm and for the money it's fantastic rope!
  23. Here's the question Eddie - we pay individually up to £18.90 per 5 litres, so accounting for the cost increase over here (given Josh's upper figure of £18) will a 25 litre can be in the region of £70? Cheers, Chris
  24. Rye Oil, can you post the specs of your oils up please? Also, do you do 25ltr tubs? Cheers, Chris
