I've come up against an issue insuring again this year as I have a few sites coming up where I have to burn the rhododendron (access issues mainly) and my current insurer doesn't cover this? Any advice for insurers who would cover this and general insurer recommendations? Cheers

Who on here use what? Jas Wilson have a decent price on the TP250 with TP-Pilot. Any others to recommend? Bandit? Schleising? Jensen? And as a cost comparison how do you rate them? Cheers

I have picked up a regular contract clearance/maintenance job and I am in the market for a brushcutter/strimmer with more grunt than the Stihl FS360 I borrowed, I have looked at the Husqvarna 545 and the Stihl 460/490 models. Advice please, ideally from people who have used (and abused) them. Thanks, Chris

Is this still going? I'd test a semi (or full) 15" .325 for a 550. Depends how many you want to send out! -
You could just have a gluten intolerance as I do, there's a whole spectrum of intolerance that go from mild discomfort after eating loads of bread or drinking beer to full blown coeliac. I can tolerate a bit, but I know about it!

Best gluten free beer out there is Brewdog's Vagabond IPA! Good for a beer let alone a GF one!

Alot of options and opinions. I'm not going to get a Stihl, or Husqvarna! Echo sounds interesting - i'll take my Dolmar out for a run, the Echo sounds amazing, what bars are people running? SHavey is sending me up a Dolly 5105 to try out as a replacement for my 550, looking forward to it! Cheers!

I have already the 6100, on a 20" bar for Arb work. I was only looking at the 50cc saws as I feel it would be a bit 'armsy' for all day. Maybe I should drop a 16 on it and see how it goes! I'm assuming that the 5105 be a good replacement for the 550, I have lost faith in the reliability of the 550. Cheers for the replies!

It's that time again, i'm felling hardwoods up to 18" in diameter, and my Husky 550 just isn't (no pun intended) cutting it, there have been too many failures that have left me stuck and I'm in need of something reliable. I've asked SHavey about the the Dolmar PS-5105(H), what are the other contenders? Cheers. Chris

The Forst is a 950ish-kg chipper right? No compromise on quality of parts is what they told me at the APF...when you need a B+E to tow one, surely the extra weight wouldn't bother people who bought one?! I've heard great things about the performance of Forst chippers, but having read this I'd not consider getting one as the roads around Sheffield are dire. The Timberwolfs I've used have always faired well though.

I'd just get the Gladiators, Class 1, much lighter but way more durable than the Gladiator Ventilation type, IMO obviously.

I have some Oregon ones, a pair of thick socks and these - Bama Sokkets (Wellie Warmers) are invaluable. They soak up the sweat and keep your feet toasty all day.

Nice video, great use of the hiab. Where possible I always extract felled sections of stem out with a timber wagon, saves bumping timber around!
