  1. I'm layed up today with it. Been getting progressively worse over the past week. Pain in the harse so it is.
  2. So I can high five him. In the face. With a brick.
  3. Tutors, students, gardeners and homeowners are about the lot that I have seen wearing them. Dangerous, expensive and pointless!
  4. You wouldn't have a national park without any locals
  5. The friends of the lake district don't have many friends who actually live in the lakes. National Park couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery from what I know of them. Ditto Hodge's post RE Windermere, the lake is dead now. Long live the militant ramblers, killing off the areas they "love".
  6. Can't blame the police. Tranqs will not drop anything on the spot, amazing the distance that sort of thing covers even after a perfect shot. It's sad, but I would rather see all those tigers dead than one human, even an American.
  7. I know one such set up local to me. it works brilliantly, and is probably the best tree gang round here (apart from me, obviously) they have been going about 20 years, there is three of them.
  8. I've carried chainsaws, firearms and shotguns on public transport before, going through some big stations on the way. Spoken to transport police on a couple of times in the station and they have no problem with it. Firearms legally held and with a reason to be doing it of course.
  9. I wasn't having a go, don't get me wrong. It just appalls me that they get away with it!
  10. Did you do anything? And I dont necessarily mean "direct,Steven Seagal like roundhouse kicking action", alerting security etc can all be done and all make a hell of a difference. Evil triumphs when good people do nothing. No smoke without fire
  11. Probably a hushpower, they are brilliant.
  12. is that a .410 bolt gun in pic1?
  13. Good to hear your having a day off Nick. Had 6 or 7 days on the foreshore so far with a few geese and enough ducks. No partridge this year yet but two days walked up grousing with some old mates, excellent stuff
  14. I know technically it all started almost a month ago, but our first day is on the 5th November, getting happy about it now In other news, our fallow rut is bloody brilliant this year A few snaps from last year.
  15. It must be true. All the best legal firms use hotmail for their emails right? Who knew you stated your profession before your name too?! Not me. Yours, Treecutter Samuel P. C. Thompson - Shaw Esq.
  16. Best go beating without you dog first for a bit. You'll get to know the right people and how it all works. Then ask the keeper (VERY) nicely if he would mind having a look at her to make sure she isn't totally mental (Although - cocker). Then see what he says. Obedience is vital on a shoot, if she runs in at the wrong moment she could well ruin a drive, and you probably won't be invited back. Try NOBS to start with; National Organisation of Beaters and Pickers Up Beating is brilliant, excellent crac, exercise, access to areas you otherwise wouldn't see, friends, good food and maybe an introduction to shooting
  17. Im saving up for a PHD one thanks mate
  18. Oh yeah, forgot about the "Danny the champion of the world" laws :blushing:
  19. Just strikes me that it's technically theft, yes, we all do it. But it is theft all the same. And that the telegraph sponsor the CLA, thought that was a bit contradictory!
  20. Compared to a GBBO Site it is a lot because it is something. GBBO is free. I think you get all of the above (apart from the directory, clearly) with GBBO. And you own the name for three years. I haven't seen your design/layout though, I'm sure it will be very good - everything else on here is.
