  1. Sorry, I was in a rush and found what I was basically going to say so quoted it - I dont know anything about the infection so its out of my park. I think we need more willow, poplar and larches. Coppice needs to be investigated on a more mechanised level, rather than in this whole "keeping ancient skills alive" swollocks, and we need to be turning agric land into forests if we are serious about woodfuels as a country.
  2. I've had DS2 people out with me I wouldn't give a pop gun to, they gralloch about as well as a teckel! Something should compulsory, but it should not be 1&2 - they are about lining the pockets of certain organisations I am afraid.
  3. This is true. However it is the only paper qual I have and it shows I am competent (arguable I know) when it comes to culling. I'm 2 deer out of the 3 for L2. My management knowledge comes from the apprenticeship I served with an estate stalker, of course I could brag about how many deer I have shot, and how far away they were I suppose, but that really isn't my style.
  4. Dadio, I don't know much about the sort of work you do, but your attitude makes you about one of the most punchable people on the forum. The best people let their work speak for themselves.
  5. Can't say I do mate. They a good lot? Haha, cheers. I always work on the "If you don't ask there is FA chance of getting", so it is always worth a try.
  6. Hello all! I am offering my services as a deer manager to all for free! This is because I love doing it. When I say deer management I do not mean "I will come and shoot your deer then bugger off" or "if you have trophy deer I will kill them and bugger off". I mean damage surveys, fencing advice cull plans and culling. I can assure the highest standard in my work. All relevant insurance, firearms certificates etc. held as well as a Deer Management level 1 qualification and plenty of experience. If you have land with deer on it, and wish to learn about management I can help with that too. Hopefully I can help some people, some trees and some deer out and enjoy myself! Excellent reference's Please don't hesitate to contact me Sam 07948309142 or PM on here. PS. I am aware this is quite cheeky.
  7. I feel like a child with my size 14s! Meindl hand make all their boots by hand so no size is too big (in theory, don't know about price. Ring BushWear - Outdoor clothing shooting and stalking equipment and ask for Andrew Small.
  8. The http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/36015-thieves.html#post568502 thread going on at the moment is a true credit to Arbtalk, and the profession. It really does show the generosity of the members. Hats off to them (and also Mr. Bullmam)
  9. Baikals probably shoot better than most berreta owners. I love mine, the russian crowbars so they are, the perfect rough day gun.
  10. Perazzi has the name I think. Obviously Beretta etc. are good to!
  11. You are a regular bantersaurus rex aren't you. Lighten up a bit, I suppose you imagine everyone who makes a sexist joke beats their wife
  12. It means they expect me to write of the car ten times a year. It's bloody bonkers. Stick with the sooty van for now!
  13. Car insurance! £42,360.55 for insurance on an Audi A3 1.6 Raaaaaaaaaaah.
  14. Is that the place we delivered logs to with your fast tow Dave? To be honest I'm looking into the setting up of some more than the renting, but its all helpfull
  15. I know there is someone on here that has a link in their signature to a yurt camping site. I can't for the life of me remember who it is/what the website is. If you are here man of mystery yurt, could you make yourself know please, or if you know the "yurt man" could you put a link on here please. I am bloody useless. Cheers, Sam
  16. That's true. My old man did it for years with his Landys, it worked as well.
  17. Amen to that! The best weather is when you test your gore-tex and insulation!
  18. BBC iPlayer - James May's Man Lab: Series 2: Episode 2
  19. Hopefully put something in place to stop walkers, ramblers and MTBs buggering the mountains too.
