  1. Haha, I'm not a massive footy fan you won't get no grief about the gap But by all means do, if there's tea provided I'm there. Love projects like these...
  2. Something I'd love to be able to do. Maybe in time I'm only in suffolk, would be more than happy to give you a hand if you needed it...
  3. 130 Cummins 6bt 5.9ltr engine Unimog portals HUGE TYRES JUST ME DREAMING AGAIN...
  4. Ahhh I used to work with a chap named Dave, he also loved in need ham market and was into charcoal making etc.. Massive coincidence!
  5. You're not Dave by any chance are you..?
  6. I think I may have sorted it now, but thanks Simon! There may well be more later on though, I'll give you a pm if so?
  7. I'm currently doing a job, removing quite a lot of small oak trees from a river wall in Waldringfield on the deben. I've got no means of extracting the logs so am looking for somebody to take them. There's access onto the marsh but you'd need a small tractor and trailer, a landrover would possibly get on but no too sure how it'll cope with a loaded trailer as it gets really boggy one end... Hard to say how much is there, I'd guess a decent farm trailer size, at a rough guess! Anybody interested?
  8. I've got a pair of haix protector pros which I bought about 4 years back that I thought I'd crushed the steel toecap on one of them... Turns out it was just a **** load of dirt/sawdust that I cut out! They're probably not going to be waterproof anymore but they'll do as a spare... Anybody else had this problem?
  9. This thread never fails to make me smile! I wish you all the best silky and hope the new year brings you more happiness... Leon
  10. Food for thought! You guys got any photos of your setups? You've got me thinking now...
  11. Thanks mate! Retired my old rope to a pull line which is handy. Who knows, maybe in time I'll get myself a zigzag too...
  12. Was delivered today, as promised. Brilliant service! Looks great, can't wait to test it out tomorrow. It's only my second climbing line, I've had my old one for 2 years and am so happy I don't have to climb in that horrible stretchy thing anymore... Old vs new...
  13. Just in time to test it out on Saturday, Thankyou! Just been paid, this could be dangerous...
  14. I hope it loved upto the hype you give it! haha, I'm sure it will. New rope's got me wanting to splash out on some fancy climbing gear, bank is telling me NO...
  15. Looks good silky! Just ordered 45m of blue tongue from gustharts, can't wait to use it!
  16. Yeah sods law that you'll need it the day after you cut the f*cker!
  17. Ahhh, I could buy a 60 metre but I wanted something that wouldn't be an absolute pain to keep pulling through when I use it over here day to day. Do you think I'll get away with a 45?
  18. Brilliant, I'll get that ordered then! What length strop do you guys use? I've found the one I've been using too short so was thinking 5 metres?
  19. Yeah, I've read loads of good things about it! My current rope may as well be a bungee rope! Think it's £153 for a 45m length from frjones...
  20. After 2 years with my stretchy marlow rope, I've decided that it's time to treat myself to a new mainline! I'm hoping to head out on The Gambia trip and have been advised to take a 45/50metre rope. So just looking for some recommendations... Been looking at the blue tongue which I've read good things about? Could also do with a new short line too now I think of it! I'm using a vt system on my mainline but a trusty prussik on my short line still. I've been meaning to get round to buying another pulley etc for that so now seems as good a time as ever. Seen some awesome looking short lines on the thread recently, so any recommendations for those as well?
  21. I'm looking for a cheapish but still half decent saw for my dad. Just something he can cut firewood with really, with a 15inch...ish bar. What you lot suggest? I was thinking some sort of second hand semi pro stihl?
  22. That's barely run in matt. Changed my old 200tdi engine about a year back for a lower mileage engine I knew had been really looked after, but the old one had over 300k on it and still ran fine...
