  1. I know, they probably don't expect you to buy everything at first though. They may give me another kitlist when I have to to my tickets?
  2. I've been granted £200 to pay for essential equipment on my kit list! I'm not sure what's going to be on the list but I'm sure I read somewhere that you only need Boots. I was thinking Elten Hydrofells and some Chainsaw trousers? Butch
  3. Went In to College the other day and have been accepted on the Diploma! He said the Diploma Includes 'tickets' worth about '£700 - £800' so not sure what Tickets they'll be exactly? Butch
  4. To companies I found on Google, sent a **** load of them out. Only heard back from one place which said they had no vacancys but I was welcome to come along for a Day to see what It was all about to which I replied I'd be Interested but never heard back.
  5. I have and I sent quite a few emails out but nothing back! Butch
  6. This Is something I'm also Interested In and I'm not quite sure who to ask about It! I'm currently on Job seekers, I'm not embarressed by It or anything and don't see why I should be? I'm on It because I'm unemployed and am entitled to It. It's not like I spend my money on Special Brew or Heroin! I'm at my Nans at the moment but am moving Into the Foyer soon and once I start College In September (Arboriculture NC) I will be swapping my Job Seekers over to Income based as with College 4 days a week I have no otherway of surviving! Arboriculture Is something that really Interests me and I'm certain this Is what I want to do. But there's alot of Tickets you seem to need alongside the 1 year at College and these cost an awful lot of money, something I can't afford! Is there any help out there for this kind of thing? Butch
  7. Ok thanks, I've sent the College an email regarding If any of the CS tickets are Included In the courses. Hopefully that should clear a few things up! Butch
  8. Yea think It'd be better If I went to College and done the one year Course as a base? Do you know If there's anyway I can get funding for even one of the CS course or a few as I'm 18 and unemployed.. Butch
  9. Okay, think I'll go for the 1 year NC and then progress from there.. Can I do some CS course's while I'm at college or will I have to wait untill I've finished?
  10. So some colleges will throw in some CS courses for free? Is there anyway you can get a grant or the like for things like these as with no job things like this are extremely hard to pay for!
  11. Haven't really got any plans to go Into Consoltant etc, rather be out there grafting! So Is It worth just doing the NC which Is a one year course and then trying to get some money together to do the CS30/31 and CS38/39? What else Is there I need to do once I've got the NC and the four CS's I've listed?
  12. Is the NP worth doing over the NC? What's the pro's and cons of both? Sorry for all the questions. Butch
  13. Grafter really, would like to get Into Climbing..
  14. I'm new to this and am applying for College to get myself started In the Arboriculture Industry! I'm a bit stuck and there's a few things I'd like to ask though and this seems the perfect place to ask.. Seems alot of knowledge here! This Is my first choice; National Diploma in Arboriculture and Forestry | Otley College Suffolk Second choice; Arboriculture - City & Guilds National Certificate | Otley College Suffolk I have the grades to go straight Into the Diploma so thought there's no reason to do the level 2, Is there? What's this about the CS30/31? Will I get these with the Diploma or will they have to be done seperately after? CS38/39? What's this about NPTC? Are they just the awarding body for the CS courses? Cheers, Butch.
