  1. or plywood as my mate smashed the glass on his L200 canopy and the cost of replacement was mega $$$$
  2. spotted this on ebay. eBay item number:131530018402 2013 ISUZU D-MAX PICK UP TWIN CAB 3.0 TURBO DIESEL AUTO 1K MILES FROM NEW | eBay
  3. yep mine is the older 3.1, the 3.0 is close to 170bhp i tink.
  4. 3.0L Trooper and Rodeo 3.0 are different engines. The Trooper lump is indeed a Cat unit but it cost so much money in warranty claims it almost bankrupt Isuzu USA. Yew cud get replacement engines and gear boxes (Free of charge) from Izuzu UK until 2/3 years ago as they simply kept supplying the bits as a 'goodwill gesture' due to the number of 3.0 failures and customer dis-satisfaction. The Troop 3.0L was ahead of it's time and can be a nightmare to own and fix when tings go wrong but if ya get a good one thats been updated, serviced and modded then they are amazing.
  5. Spud cud ya tell me which Tanaka model you modded please ?
  6. Jon your post is quite amusing All i can say is i don't have the money ferra new (or even and older) pick up as i'm poor and will be sticking with my 15 year old Isuzu 3.1 pickup as it's prolly doing 22-24mpg and has no electronics, CAT, Air Con, DPF, Dual Mass Fly wheel, coded injectors etc etc and i can shunt a heavy load of logs in me trailer up a steep hill in Low range with the front axle taken out of the equation by rotating the manual free wheeling hubs to the 4x2 position (this is gr8 as i get no transmission wind up or heavy steering). I'd love a new D-MAX but i'd hafta fiddle about with the electrics on the front axle and find a way of running '2L' like my old gurl.
  7. fitted the replacement exhaust part number A300-001660 which is a slightly different design to the original one. It looks like it may be the same one as fitted to the CS360 WES ground saw as that's what pops up when ya drop that part number into Google. So far so good.
  8. I run a similar setup as Leswold. I run a 4x4 pickup with a chip box and a 10'x5'6'' ifor williams (non tipping!) trailer. My Greenmech GMR100 (similar to a CS100) sits on the rear of the trailer or can be winched up into the trucks chipbox if i'm chipping on site and don't require the trailer to take chip/logs off site.
  9. naughty step.
  10. wow sounds like you give in to easy Matthawh1966. my 360TES zorst is gone for the second time too but it's no biggy as I've been given anudder replacement FOC under warranty, as for the stop switch.......why not fix it ?
  11. yes Breffni I do think they are a good buy.
  12. I'm a smidge under 6' and normally weigh in at 16 stone but lately.....
  13. 'whale oil beef hooked', Spud may well be right there as i assumed the 346 and 357 oilers were identical !
  14. I tink Gensetsteve hit the nail on't head there.
  15. Here are some pics of the faulty zorst. You can see the circular baffle/cat thats come loose and causing the rattle. Also look at the tuning potential of that exhaust and the alloy heat shield which cud be trimmed to allow exhaust gasses to escape a bit free'r / quicker. The exhaust port on the enjun cud be 'tidied up' too in order to produce some more power. Yew will also see the alloy chain catcher i fitted over the stock Echo nylon affair which is not up to the job in my humble onion.
  16. Looks loike Echo UK had some zorsts in stock as Radmore & Tucker rang me today and told me it's come in and is there for me to collect. Will get it next time i'm in 'town'.
  17. is the black plastic oil drive gear worn down excessively ?
  18. tank yew Geoff. I went in to see Radmore & Tucker yesserday re. the rattling zorst and told them to order in anudder zorst under warranty. Decided not to leave the saw with them as i eggspect it'll take a few weeks to sort out as Echo spares supply is very slow and i may need the saw if i have any problems with my 200T. Saw still runs fine, it just rattles like a marble in a tin can.
  19. that R5LOG blokes Hilux is mint mint mint, seen it a few times last year and it was mint then anyway.
  20. Coletti i'd hafta cut the zorst in half to remove the cat which i don't wanna do as the saw is still under warranty. THE88MAN, did ya use an Echo 10'' bar or was it another brand ?
  21. Geoff do me a favour and pick up the saw and give it a slow gentle shake to see if yours rattles like it has a loose marble inside the exhaust. Cheers ken.
  22. well the replacement exhaust i had under warranty is rattling too. Looks like the very same problem as before where the 'cat' or lozenge shaped baffle has worked loose and rattles around within the exhaust. Saw still runs fine though.
