  4. Unusal to be gamekeeper turned poacher its normaly the other way round, but for your poll i would be more a poacher than anything else.

  8. Always make a drink for anybody who comes to work for me, and if they are still about at lunch time they get a butty, had a lad around last month to prune our apple trees gave him a sausage butty for lunch, he said it was the first time he had ever been overed a butty in 20 years of being self employed...what is wrong with people
  9. When the girls start wearing short skirts:001_tt2:
  10. You are very sarcastic, And sarcasim is the lowest form of wit:thumbdown:
  11. Yes Fountains have come on here to let people know that they are taking on, and yes if people need to work to pay the bills they will apply for the jobs, the only thing is if they dont get paid at the end of the week, month, 30days,90days, they won't be paying any bills or putting food on the table either.
  12. Re-opening the old lines that Beeching closed down is'nt as easy as you think, take for instance my local line that ran from Bury st Edmunds to Sudbury there are now houses standing where the old line used to run, so that idea is out the window.
  13. As title says, free tip site(clean chip/logs) near Sudbury Suffolk. If intrested contact me here or by pm. Thanks Egg.
  14. I've noticed that some comments have been removed from this thread, which to be fair to Mr Bullman and the mods i realise that there is a no name and shame policy, but would it not also be fair to anyone applying for a job with this company to let them know where they stand. Probably talking out of turn again Just my thoughts.
  15. looks great what sort of money would that be? to have built
  16. dave i'll buy as much apple wood as you've got for £35 per tonne, when should i put a lorry into you:thumbup:
  17. if nothing else its been a good bit of banter, i hope its kept a few entertained over the last day or two, as it has me and you, all the best Egg:thumbup:
  18. ok you are right about that error of mine:sneaky2: but if you go back in the thread you will see i explained it properly in the first place unlike your self when you said 1 tonne would equal 3.5m3:001_tt2:
  19. eggsarascal

    Tachometer

If i get there i'll buy you more than one:thumbup:
  20. again you have repeated what i said 3x 850x850x850 bags at 360kg per bag is just over a tonne, please somebody read this thread from start to finish and tell us which one of us is going mad.
  21. Firstl i would not work for you as if you worked out wages in the same manor you work out log volume i would be out of pocket every week:sneaky2:secondly i've read through every post on this thread and at no point did i say 3x360kg was less than a tonne, please get your facts right before you post such things.
  22. I do not weigh any loads now but i did to start with so i could work out profit, and what you are know saying is what i said in the first place 3x 850 bags at about 360kg per bags would give you justs over three bags per tonne, which at £60 per bag would give a return of about £200-£210 per tonne, not the figures you quoted earlier.
  23. I dont know where to find that clapping hands icon, but if i did i would of used it here, one tonne of cord produces roughly 1.5m3 of loosely stacked logs, as you say gensetsteve:thumbup:
  24. I did say hardwood but should of been more clear they were usually a mix of oak, silver birch and ash
