  1. You can live in a caravan or bus and claim housing benefits for it if the site owner will give you a rent book/proof of rent payments, I don't, and have no right to claim those payments, but I know a few that are doing it due to current circumstances. It's tough for some, but you are going to have to hunker down until the payments come through. Talk to your landlord about the yard rent.
  2. That's exactly how I understand it, but some folk out of the Midlands can't seem to compute this because they're as thick as a brick, (I come out of the Midlands). We will get 80% on average of our tax returns over 3 years, it's not complicated, and we've been told we will get it in June, backdated til the 1st of March. It's not difficult... unless you are a moron.
  3. No it wasn't, and well you know it, Ti.
  4. I don't dislike you, I just have a difference of opinion with you on this subject, if you don't like me it's funny that we sat for a couple of hours in the same car and chatted away for a couple of hours at one of the shows a few years back, two faced, are you Wayne? Do you really think you are going to get away with ending, let's leave it there?
  5. I've, and I'm sure a lot of others about this parish have ducked n dived over the years, but don't come around cap in hand when you think you can lay your hands on a few quid of (not so) free hand outs, we are all going to have to pay this money back. Short sighted?
  6. That pretty much says it all. You are looking at getting your dirty, grubby hands on money that you aren't entitled to, you've carried on working (which is fine), yet you think you should benefit from this virus when, up to now hasn't affected you. No better than a benefit scrounger. some folk have no shame.
  7. Yes you can, isn't it something along the lines of £95/week, or there abouts?, but you can also get your rent/mortgage interest paid? Tough times, and 'WE', not them, are all in it together this time.
  8. It's sorted b0D, I rang our kid, (used to be in the recovery trade), who rang a fella in Hatfield who put me on to a local fella, how's that work? anyway I'm back up and running. Fault codes were: MAP p0235 EGR p0404 Fuel pump requests engine stop p1563 fuel pump malfunction p1664 crank position sensor fault p0335. Total cost £0:00 It ain't what you know, it's who you know.
  9. It's not that I don't like it, it's you who doesn't want to hear the truth, you've openly admitted you've carried on as normal, yet want to know when government money, (read our money) will be available, when at this time you ain't entitled to a shilling of it.
  10. Yes, I would think that would be fine. If you don't want people to comment don't keep posting about the SE, and government getting their finger out. You've admitted that you haven't stopped working, so why would it bother you when payments are going to be made at this stage?
  11. Not bad, quiet, but still scrapping a living, just.
  12. Beat me to it by a few seconds, Johny. Hope you're keeping well mate.
  13. My point is, if like you've suggested you've been working full time through out this pandemic you have zero rights to put a claim in for a grant/loan.
  14. If you are still working full time as you've suggested all along on these sort of threads you haven't lost out due to the virus, unless you can prove differently, if when things calm down HMRC will be looking into who made fraudulent claims, I would have thought.
  15. We've (SE) have been told we will be weighed in in June. Not ideal, but that's how it is. Where is the money going to come from... Where do you think?
  16. When it's running (being driven) the glow plug light comes on, (this doubles up as the EML) no limp mode, no loss of power, no smoke, I drove 30-odd miles, all normal. When it's ticking over it sometimes runs lumpy or stalls.
  17. I don't know, I left the van with him, I've rang back to ask but he's out taking a car for a MoT, the dippy young lass on the phone is going to get him to call me when he gets back.
  18. Right then, the fecking thing is playing up again, I've taken it to a garage that have the Ford diagnostics reader, no faults detected!, what next?
  19. Missed this!, it gives me great displeasure loarding you, but you got the point across perfectly. Not one feck chucked into the conversation.
  20. No you don't, i get mine out of the yard I'm in, fresh the day they are laid. Now the weather has picked up the hens are laying everyday.
  21. I was pulled on a camp many years ago when some fool put one of those disposable BBQ's in a commercial bin before it had cooled, no one noticed until the bin was well on fire, to hot to drag it out of the way, we dragged caravans away from the bin to stop there being a right royal mess. They walk amongst us!
  22. New fuel filter, it started but was running 'lumpy'. YouTube said may have air in the system, leave it running, I was dubious, but tried it this morning, left it running for an hour then took it out for a run, seemed ok, got brave this afternoon and took it for a decent run, it seems ok. Find out tomorrow, got a 100 mile round journey to do.
  23. Comely, that's not a word you hear everyday. You know I'm far to discreet to name names. Yes it was Kev...
  24. Any port in a storm, David. Well that's what a sailor once told me.
  25. Same, worked in Spain (cash) through the mid nineties, no questions asked when I took a PAYE job on return. Lived on a narrow boat cruising the inland waterways a few years later, all work I did was cash. Bought a house after that, no questions asked. Those who say they got pulled in and made to pay tax must be those unlucky people that I try to avoid.
