  7. wo wo wo,, i don't think it'll be as much as 2k,,, i've broken plenty of winches on boats and never blown 2k, well only once,, re robustness,, I'd bet ALOT of money on it's strenght, JUST on the fact it's haarken.. to quantify this..... the volvo round the world yacht race,,,, imagine racing the formula one version of a racing boat around the world,,, now imagine taking that boat through the southern ocean,, for a few weeks,,, you CANNOT afford any breakages,,,, ALL the boats use haarken tackle and running gear....same goes for the vendee globe here is a video in case you havent got the point yet... 8. ummm yeh,, it's called budget cuts, and someone else offering a stupidly cheap deal on a crappy alternative,,,,oh and then there's the hole media blow up over snatch land rovers,,, ask the soldiers what they'd rather be in.. same goes for coast guard, mountain rescue,, nevereverers are so cheap that they are being used instead of landies,, they'll be back,, you watch
  9. ditto what jamie says,,, if she plays the tough guy now and doesn't let it heal properly she'll be regretting it later down the line,, it could also take longer to heal, and in fact cause her to be off work for longer. i'm speaking from experience here too:blushing: she should sign off and get it fixed proper, no place for an ego when it comes to injuries i'm afraid.. best wishes..
  10. the guy that owns changabangs in avoriaz does it,,, alot,,, even turned up to work one day by wingsuit out of the helicopter,, :-) there's a video of him in the bar on a loop,, and a chunk of it is noodie skydiving funny as

  16. it's haarken,, so it's a safe bet it'll cost a fair bit,,, BUT it will be SOOoooooo smooth.. for those that don't know, haarken is the NO1 brand for yacht winches, BIg yacht winches.. they cater for everything from america's cup to RTW racing,, very nice,, i want one,,, going on the fact it has a winch handle i'd guess you could use it for getting up the tree too..
