    let them know?

    from my experience with the council,, get it in writing,, cover your backside because they will most certainly be covering theirs..
  2. a week or two back i was asked to go and quote for a syc reduction/massacre at a house in the middle of newquay, it was a 25-30ft single stem syc with a large crown.. it is also roadside, in a conservation area, half the tree overhangs the road in a busy bit of town.. it was a bit of a mates rates deal and i said i'd do it for £300, including taking away all chip, groundie etc etc. anyway,, just did a fiollow up call to see if she wanted to proceed.. her exact words " i had a quote of a guy last night to do it for £140, if you can do the job for that it's yours":confused1: i am still not able to understand how someone could do the job for that amount.... i'd taken into account: climber groundie chipper fuel planning lark insurance removal of arisings 1 days work set aside for job and coning off the night before as it's a popular parking spot..
  3. a very good friend of mine was in exactly that situation,, he bought a discovery3 commercial to go with his F150 lightning,, oh and he still needed to burn a bit more so he added a nissan 370z ltd ed to the stable,, if it was me,,,i'd try and stick a chipper on the back of a DB9.....
  4. didn't everyone leave norfolk? where is it anyway?
  5. i'd call dadio,, let him do it
  6. maybe you could get your child to teach you how to spell,,,,, FWIW,, how come you state it's a "safe" method yet you have pages of warning's and disclaimers at the start of the video,,
  7. as said by janey,,, it all bores down to what you have in writing,, and what was "said" to you. best bet now is to go check that and then we can all pitch in from there..
  8. apart from the advice given above there is another way to look at it,, look at the cost to do 30/31 and 38/39 etc... look at what you've got already, ie 30/31,, subtract that from what you've paid so far,,,, that's how much you're out,,, walk away and use the grand to pay for 38/39...then go get a job... good luck
  9. f u tom:001_tt2: i've seen this happen too many times,, and with deans luck he'll get 5 witnesses saying he aimed at her..
  10. dean,, do yourself a favour and report it anyway,,, last thing you need is a lawyers letter on your doorstep saying she had whiplash etc, cover your backside,, report it to the poilce,,, you are obliged too...
  11. give the guy a pair of earplugs,,,how many DB are you kicking out?
  12. :thumbup:bolt, and the double irony is that i've never even used a timberwolf,,
  13. do it,, best choice i made was leaving a well paid job and starting a job where i don't know where my next pay is coming from,, :-)
  14. i agree it's not a problem that necessarily NEEDS solving,, but then it doesnt need to be,, it's merely another option,, i dont like to have a tipper pickup, i would however use that,, then a tipping trailer with chip box,
  15. some very narrow minded views on the first page,, suprised... i think it's great,, shame it's a timber wolf,, but it's innovative and a nice solution,, smaller job? chip into the box and go, larger job? tow a tipping chip trailer and bobs your uncle,, personally i salute the makers for trying something a little different,,
  16. monkey d's idea is actually a VERY good idea too,,, it's always worth a try,, you never know... some of the stuff i've seen done with public funds when i was a nipper living on military bases is hilarious,,, give em a go gibbon
  17. good man well done,,, sometimes it takes a customer to make a point like that to start hitting brands into shape,,
  18. tom,, i'd wait for them to sort out the inevitable issues with any first generation product before diving in,, wait for version 2... they'll prob fix the chainbrake by then,,
