  1. Quality!
  2. I'm surprised. I thought they were all in my woods, waiting to eat me.
  3. Very nice. I wish there was more SC round my way.
  4. Sweet! Are you gonna mill with it? I've got the 48" bar on mine, never cross cut anything since new, mill all the time though.
  5. Careful now or you'll be called "little", "bitter" and "jealous" like I was when I made a similar comment about another £65k mog.
  6. I was referring to spending a large chunk of dough (the bank's dough!) at a fancy pants U20 when an adequate set up could be purchased for much less. However, some sensitive people took it the wrong way and assumed I was having a pop at anyone with a mog....zzzzzz
  7. Ah, so I was right. This thread is about c*ck swinging. You just had to let us know you've got the wedge for a brand spankers Mog. And cos I p*ssed on your chips you start getting personal. I'm sad am I?
  8. In the 60s you could buy a house for £4k that would be worth £200k now. It's not an investment it's a liability. Good if you want to avoid tax but on HP a X.XX%APR you'd need that machine working 24/7. I think it's more about c*ck swinging than utility.
  9. I need some short (6') lengths, enough to split down to make 6 hurdles.
  10. Yeah nice. If you own a national utility provider:001_rolleyes:
  11. For £3.5k you could get yourself a loved Land Cruiser 80 series. Why compromise?
  12. Thanks Chaps! I just hope I can get the roof on and walls daubed before the weather turns.
  13. Getting keen now. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. If you're near the South West I'm interested.
  15. Just have a go:001_smile:
  16. When I started with the AA my first truck was a Brava with the Isuzu lump. Engines are bullet proof, gearbox good, rear diff weak. Teeth break off the crown wheel. Not a major expense to fix though.
  17. There must be hundreds of books like this. I guess they must help someone, but my sneering cynicism has me believe they're just another conduit for cash. I've read Toxic Stress by Vernon Coleman. He basically says that the modern economy wouldn't function if it was unable to breed feelings of inadequacy in the majority of people by making them believe the need to own "stuff" - houses, cars, etc - or they're not valid adults. This makes everyone compete, enjoy seeing others fail and insincere. So when you're living in an environment where people enjoy being horrible, greedy and selfish, it's no wonder so many feel miserable. ho hum:001_huh:
  18. Yep! Mine had cables underneath to swing the huge back actor, and the ruin of a cab!
  19. Proper man's trailer that! Love the old Major too. Used to have a 1950s Whitlock digger built around one of those.
  20. Good info on filters and the consequenses of saw dust in the engine. Air Filters on Pro Saws
  21. Has anyone used the Stihl HD filter? If there's dust in the carb then there will be dust in the crank case, mixed with a bit of oil....... The more I think about it.............hmm...not good.
  22. That can't be good for it. It was definitely not the normal combustion residue on the plug, I worked as a mechanic for 15 years and saw a bit. It concerns me because all that fine dust is hitting the bearings and acting like and abrasive paste. When I was working in Oz we had a big diesel engine that had been sucking in unfiltered air through split trunking, trashed the engine in no time.
  23. Milled some oak for a couple of hours yesterday with the standard air filter. The chain was getting dull and gave the machine a good clean out after sharpening. The air filter was as expected, blew it with the air line from inside. However when I looked in the carb mouth I noticed a layer of .... yes, that's right:thumbdown:! There was even dust on the spark plug! What filters are you guys using?
  24. Get it hot and then feel the top and bottom of the radiator. If you can't get your hand in there use a non contact thermometer at an angle >45. The rad should be a uniform temperature across the whole area. Any cool areas indicate blocked cores. Your problems sounds like classic blocked rad symptoms. Try back flushing with water under pressure. There's a tool we used to have in the garage that plugs into a air line and hose pipe, allows you to blast water through the rad, you could probably improvise one.
