  1. I need a mill for my 48" ms880, will they be on special? The precision grinder looks hand too!
  2. Tell me about it! November to february only.
  3. My alder and spruce timber frame. Time will tell I guess. I think it's ok either submerged in water or permanently dry. Makes the best gun powder charcoal I'm told
  4. The Doc looks like he's holding the ladder in place. I just hope he's a doctor of medicine!
  5. If you unplug the passenger air bag you'll disable the whole SRS system. The pretensioners won't work and the warning light will stay on. Don't be scared of unplugging the bag, it won't go off. I'm a qualified mechanic, worked in several dealership and was an AA patrol for seven years.
  6. It's what you're used to I guess. I get on much better with sharp hand tools rather than power tools.
  7. Ideal if you live down the road. Haulage costs would kill it for me.
  8. Thanks. About five or six hours if the oak is straight and knot free. I make them to order at the moment but looking at wholesale to garden centers, etc.
  9. And WRC in similar quantities.
  10. I shape my plugs and pegs by hand, first with a drawknife then a penknife, slightly bigger than the hole. I weigh them, stick 'em on the woodstove and wait 'till they've lost a third of their weight. They're now dry and fit snug. Am I weird?
  11. I'm also after sweet chestnut poles, 15' - 20'.
  12. Hi all, I'm always on the look for straight(ish) grained oak, 8" heartwood min, in 6'-7' lengths in quantities of 3-4 M3 (what my 16' Ifor will take). Devon area.
  13. I'm in Devon. I split butts with a sledge hammer and make stuff.
