  1. Anybody recommend a good agricultural haulier around the Aberystwyth area? I need an 8tonne agric trailer transporting to Norfolk. Thanks
  2. RIP, he was a fast driver in many different cars, really sorry for his family, friends and team mates
  3. Really sorry to hear about your loss m8, wish there was some way we could make you feel better, they do have a habit of getting to you
  4. What he said I've used Stihl kit for over twenty years now, even kept loyal when the less well built stuff from the USA started turning up. Never had any problems with any of the saws and prefer them to other makes. I'm not saying anything negative about any local dealer, I just prefer to deal with who I want, at a time I want and in a way I want. That usually means online with one of the dealers on this site. I have tried getting parts for saw maintenance from local dealers, usually a weeks wait, online order arrives 24-48 hrs later, why would I want to change it? Stopping me from buying hiflex trousers, oils and parts online will not make me go to a Stihl dealership. I'm a stubborn, bloody minded individual, I work hard for my money and don't expect to stopped from spending it on what I want/need.
  5. Really sorry for you m8
  6. Really sorry for your loss Jose, stay strong my friend
  7. I'm in exactly the same boat, love my job but just feel like I'm treading water all the time, however hard I work I never seem to get anywhere, body certainly can't keep going how it has been for the last 20 years.
  8. You keep that work ethic and live up to it, you'll soon find someone to help and find work for you. It's worth the effort to find a job that you enjoy doing, good luck
  9. Sorry for the loss Adam, I know how much my two mean to me
  10. He visited me last week, had to catch a flight from stanstead back to Ireland that night, generator for £400 or saw for £70, he must of missed his flight though, next day he was selling the same stuff to a farmer five miles away.
  11. got mine through co-op insurance services, got all I need on it at a reasonable price. 0800 046 6342 if you want to give them a call
  12. I used to buy from my local dealer, they recently lost the main dealership after about 30 years so now I use FRJones for most of my purchases and the dealer for any servicing that needs doing. The kit is delivered quicker in most cases than the local dealer could get it here.
  13. Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things
  14. not being nasty, but saw in other posts that you can't drive, maybe that's a contributing factor, employers are always going to try and find the most qualified people but if work is in different places they might go for someone that can get there by themselves rather than having to travel to collect you
  15. Would be great, but I can always guarantee that when I've a long drag, it's always uphill :-(
  16. I use my truck to carry out the same duties as you'll need yours to. Had an L200, it was ok, now got a Hilux, a vast improvement. It's used for work as well as my daily transport, fuel economy with trailer and delivering wood is around mid twenties, using it without anything behind it'll happily do motorway speeds and average in the mid to high 30's Best to get a shortlist together and then go for a drive, see what suits you best
  17. I've more hope of dry weather than sensible customers Happy Chrimbo to you all
  18. we got repremanded a few years back, for telling someone the trees we were felling on the disused railway sidings were being cleared so they could store some flasks containing nuclear by products.
  19. My two rotties are always with me, happy to be in the truck while I'm working as long as they get a walk at break time, great company and when in the yard, superb security
  20. £250 with NFU, two named drivers (1993 Ford 8240)
