  3. Remember in forestry the timber is your product, not like arb where the timber is waste, cut the pegs off flush, nice straight ends and use a tape measure.
  4. £15 a ton to fell sned and stack, or if you want the timber, you pay the landowner £10 a ton for the standing timber, forwarding to roadside? Saws 357xp or MS360.
  5. One of our hand cutters uses a 154 se as his everyday felling saw, fantastic saw lots of power for it,s size.
  6. It,s all to cheap, Harvesters and forwarders are expensive to buy run and maintain and hand cutters deserve a good wage for their hard work and i would like to make a wage to, So i think a lot of you are selling your firewood to cheap, Hardwood is only going up in price as demand increases and supplies of standing hardwood reduces.
  7. We use the 578 and the Osa together on big thinning jobs, the 578 goes into the hard to get parts and drops the wood on the rides for the Osa to pick up and transport the mile and a half to the stacking area, it works very well for us.
  8. These people are really good and fair prices, they are at Tow Law on the A68. http://www.helmepark4x4.co.uk/

  11. See how easy it is to sell a truck load of hardwood, It,s to cheap, our hardwood is £75 a ton and we are selling lots of it to people who buy 1 or 2 tons to make their own firewood.
  12. Hi i,m looking for a secondhand 3pl timber crane or even crane and trailer if cheap. cheers Mark.

  18. We are having problems with planning, we have b2 planning already and and the council say that is no good for firewood production???
  19. Needs a 2 man crew ! It,s just a dumper with a crane, needs a lot more conversion to make it a useable forwarder, it would be ok on big gardening jobs!
