    I think Dumper is wrong As far as I understand once the A frame is attached then in the eyes of the law it becomes a trailer So attach a trailer board displaying the reg number of the towing vehicle, put black gaffer tape over its own reg number so any anpr cameras don't incorrectly pick it up Then the only thing to worry about is it being unbraked and weighing more than the 750kg where you need brakes I have towed all sorts country wide with one ranging from small citroens to land rovers and never being stopped Just remember to leave the key in with the ignition switch in the on position (battery disconnected) so the steering follows you

    We have additional locks on my wife's VW T4 although no keys to use them unfortunately as they were on the van when we got it, will have a look in the morning and see if I can find the make of them Not sure if they may be a little deep for a defender door though although they may be ok fitted low down I think when I measured them before I was after fitting them in the door tops to stop lowlife scum prising the tops down to break in

    Think you need to be asking this on a building forum After our area around Hull flooded years ago all builders were busy for a couple of years with all the repair work and new kitchens, rewiring, plastering etc that needed doing.

    Most containers aren't strong enough to take the weight of earth and the sides and roof would collapse under the pressure and weight unless reinforced

    How about using a remote wifi dongle with a SIM card in placed near them for connectivity Not sure how it would work but they are available to enable wifi in caravans etc using 12v and a SIM card

    You are allowed to stop on double yellows for the purposes of loading and unloading as long as the activity is continuous So get the first branch cut quickly and have a slow groundy feeding the chipper and loading the back with chip all day

    Don't think it will matter for you The issue was affecting numbers ported on 25th and 26th and they are still sorting it out with massive backlog but would think once it is fixed then any future porting should happen within the standard 24 hr window

    EE are currently having technical issues Spoke to them last night as my number should be porting over from old phone SIM card into new phone SIM card My number is dead and hasn't been ported over to the new sim, so I can't receive any calls Apparently it is affecting over 6000 numbers that are mid port, but at my wife's work every phone in the office is stuck mid port and none of the staff are contactable when out with clients

    Think I would leaflet the same 40 again but 5 at a time a few days apart should be fairly easy to work out who it is then, recording device on phone for evidence

    Just had a look and i have 017/018 workshop service manual, ms171 service manual, ms170 illustrated parts list Thought i had ms170 service manual but even though the pdf is named ms170 service manual when opened it is for 017 but i would think they are pretty much the same saw other than a badge

    Actually proving you are liable and the driveway damage was caused by the tree isn't going to be easy or cheap for your neighbour though is it, especially with the informed responses you have in this thread that all think the tree is not the cause If the driveway isn't reinforced then that is probably the cause of the crack on such a large span of concrete Can you see the depth of the concrete down the crack, I would lay a minimum of 6-8 inches with reinforcing on that and it would stand up to most stuff then, have they had a delivery at all in a wagon which has backed onto the drive, probably weakened it put a hairline crack and the weather has done the rest with expansion and contraction especially if it is only thin concrete with no reinforcement

    A forum is for sharing but once stihl get knowledge of anyone hosting there ipl's and workshop manuals online then the sites usually come down not long after. Presumably due to legal action through sharing copyrighted material I used to point people at a good source of manuals but it is no longer there and you could never access it through the website it was on as there were no links to it, it was a publicly accessible folder that google could find with manuals and ipl's for most stihl stuff on it

    Read this last night and didn't have time to reply, but re reading it now the fact that your post says you are using a pallet comparison website is why your price quoted is so high. Enquire at a local haulage firm who are in one of the pallet networks, open an account and you should get the £60 - £70 prices everyone else is quoting for a full pallet uk wide

    Isn't it a common fault on these ?. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, first thing I checked was chain oil being pumped out, also think I read on another thread with everything being so small they are fussy about oiling properly if you use thick oil. Stihl synthplus fully synthetic chain oil was recommended as it is quite thin

    Yep, second recommendation for L S engineers, good service and have most common bits in stock, could also try mister solutions or garden hire spares

    The clutch, it has a reverse thread in it, so undo it the opposite way to normal once you have locked the piston with starter cord or similar
