1. The other problem is getting hold of decent softwood, most of our local cutters are on PR infected larch and I've just been quoted £35 a cube for softwood delivered in!
2. Been doing mixed softwood for a few years now. The hardest thing is getting people to change. Cuts easy, dries quickly and light to shift. I'm probably going 100% softwood next year. If people don't want it then they will go cold or pay £150 a cube for hardwood.
3. Yer it's know as the "rozer technique" they even took the wood!
4. emergency pit stop!
5. It's a bogof offer! You know, you buy one you get one free! I did advise they move it and also suggest they don't park under hung up trees!
6. Bugger that, just turned Landy around and towed it out of the way!
7. Coming in thick and fast!
8. First of the day!
9. First of the day! Of to do an elm now.
10. We are used to power cuts, a good tip is to tape light sticks to your door handles in case the power goes out! Oh and Misses Bear says put one on the toilet to stop us from missing the pot in the dark!
11. I'm on duty until 10pm on Sunday, then we have the entire arb team on call all night. I'll go in if needed but I've got bad mobile coverage where I live and my home phone is totally un reliable! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Dyna..

Of all the trucks I've been looking at over the past year I think I'm going to settle for a Dyna MWB 350 too. I saw them being used in Jersey and was very impressed. My budget is a bit more having sold my cab star and some other kit.
13. I'm quite lucky, we invested in solar and have oil heating and two log fires. Our lecky bill is about £550 a year and oil is £600. We get about £1400 back from our solar set up. I just checked and we are £230 in credit so our actual lecky usage is about £320. We just had our yearly water bill £92! We have rainwater harvesting tanks too. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
14. Difflock,it's always worth asking, a lot of containers are only used one way! I thought if it came with the container I'd buy three loads!
15. So is that 28 crates delivered in a container? Or 28 crates delivered from a container?
16. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/436170/Worst-winter-for-decades-Record-breaking-snow-predicted-for-November So there scare mongering already! Right, time to visit the local pubs with a copy of the paper stamped with my rubber stamp! Worked a treat last year!
17. Plenty of grow more on mine these days!
18. That's got me thinking, one pod as a mobile work shop or "staff deployment vehicle" and the other as a mobile home! Timber could be stacked on the flat beds ready for removal! If it was 30k all in I'd buy it tomorrow!
19. That's correct Will, it's the second Severn Crossing, with the old Severn tunnel under the waves!
20. This marvel of engineering is half a mile down the lane, infact there's a hidden one there to! Do you know where?
21. Always take mine off to sharpen, that way I get to check the sprocket, drive links and more importantly turn the bar. I've opted for Stihl chain and use the easy file. Takes about 5mins a chain.
22. Mumma bear just gone to get Chinese from Chepstow, both had busy days and neither of us can be bothered to cook.
23. All the timber from Wentwood is infected and going to Pontrilas saw mills for processing in a controlled environment, which is ironic when all the lorries are un-sheeted! I've spoken to WT about buying timber but haven't heard anything back. There are very strict rules so I don't think its even worth perusing!
24. So where do you stand if you are a registered small holding? If you have a small holding with a holding number and sell food and logs from the house is this permitted? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
25. One of the little fellows about to be ringed, although a bit small and a group of juv's a week off fledging. Biggest clutch was seven eggs with six surviving. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
