  1. Cheers Goaty, this is for a fixed price three year tenancy.
  2. Just had a letter from my local authority about renting more land under a farm business tenancy, as an existing tenant we get offered land before its put out to non tenants. In total I've been offered 36 acres which is under a cropping tenancy, trees are crops! Thinking of harvesting hay whilst growing sacrificial crops for birds etc. it's been a long time since I tendered for land so does any one know the going rate. I've researched it a bit and it looks like £80 an acre in my neck of the woods.
  3. Lets see what we've done in the snow this week. I'll start with these pics of me relieving branches of their load, so the ploughs can get under them. Walked for miles carrying my poles.
  4. Nick, I'd be interested in a load of larch, I sent you an email yesterday about the 342 cubes of ash. If you uplift any then perhaps you could drop a load off on your way past.
  5. There's only one "Cardiff City" Bluebirds all the way and the only team to take the FA cup out of England!
  6. Snow about two hours away, amber warning for south east Wales!
  7. Hi Rich, order is in hand from this morning. The parts are on order, as soon as they arrive we'll build and arrange delivery. I've got another chap in mid wales who wants to see one, so maybe I can owe you another mug and pen? Probably owe you more than that now to be honest! 6 way knife, box of chains/bars? I'm sure we can do a deal, a six way splitting knife! Chains and bars! If he wants to nip down to mine I'd be happy to demo and sell him one of yours! Could deliver both at the same time. Pass on my email address to him.
  8. If you know its gonna snow put a tarp on the grass the night before, when it stops snowing peel back the tarp to reveal the grass, chuck the bird seed down and you'll be suppressed what turns up to feed. We have feeding areas all around our fields and I'm spinning out three bags of seed a week! Also cut areas in the seed crops we grow to spread seed. I love my birds!
  9. Jim, you should be getting our order soon via FPG,looking forward to getting my free mug and pen for all these recommendations and demo's I've done!
  10. Another one of my boxerdor! Loves to rugby tackle my legs in the snow.
  11. Only had z couple of shouts. One road had loads of trees down, another road was impassible for about two miles. Two many hangers from some large beech trees. Gritters couldn't clear the roads because of the trees we couldn't get the platform in to clear the trees because the gritters didn't clear the road! Who do you blame?
  12. Sorted, had to delete Tapatalk and reload it. Buggers still charged me £2! Working fine now.
  13. Started snowing at about 3.20am. Not to many call outs. Nine trees down on this stretch of road. Another road was totally impassable for two miles with dangerous hangers above. Road closed for safety. Walking to the pub now, only two miles down the road.
  14. Nope it's still saying, this is not a valid image file. I will check iPhone photo settings.
  15. I will try updating Tapatalk then. Cheers
  16. Hi Steve, can no longer upload pictures onto Arbtalk via the iPhone using Tapatalk, keeps saying invalid file format. Any ideas?
  17. Steve, What weight will it hold? Looking for a second vehicle, it's a toss up between another landrover with tipper or pick up like yours. What's the MPG like?
  18. I looked a both machines and in fairness the 2x was a solid well built machine. What swung it for me was the fact the WP36 is so easy to pull around, especially around the yard, you can push and pull it by hand. It loves twisted timber as well as larger diameter timber and the log lift is a real bonus. As long as you get the WP36 pro which has the twin hydraulic pumps. Easy to service machines. Simply to use, the misses loves it. Demo'd mine for Cardiff Council and they have just ordered one. Give Jim at Riko a ring.
  19. I use a solar panel connected to a tractor battery then connect to some 12v reversing lamps. If the battery does go flat then simply take it home and charge it up. I've only needed to recharge once in nine months.
  20. If that's going for £3100 then what's my Jappa 700 worth? 15k!!!!!!!
  21. Cheers Nick, Not sure what's happened. I'll send you an email outside of arbtalk. I went to the send email link on your profile page. Will try and remember what I wrote!!
  22. I got your email from your arbtalk profile page it should be in your message folder, did PM you a while ago.
  23. Nick, I recently sent you an email. Did you receive it?
  24. Considering the cost of fuel and the price of cord, £60 delivered anywhere in south Wales is a remarkably good price. If I was delivering to Cardiff from where I'm based (30miles east) then I'd have to charge at least £120 for a cubic meter loose load @20% moisture. South Wales geographically is a large area, my last enquiry was from Ferryside nr Carmarthen, the logs I would do for £90 but the delivery was £60 and four hours out of my life! Is it a cubic meter builders bag and what's the moisture content? I might be interested myself!
