  3. Two house martins we have been hand rearing for the last three weeks since the nest was brought down in heavy rain. Now getting flight training in preparation for long flight to Africa, that's if they bloody leave home!
  4. Been looking at the range of Branson tractors on the Riko website. Does anybody out there own one and if so how do you rate the machine, I've been dealing with Riko for many years so I know the back up will be there just need some feed back about the machine. It's for general estate and yard work so looking at the 4520 with loader.
  5. Help the "knowhow" delivery team out with their unwanted delivery!

  7. It's defiantly true, in order to allow other professions some of our spoils I married mine last week, so at least there's one less out there, mind you I'm having no bloody tree surgeon call in for a cuppa anymore!
  8. Put fifty bags of softwood out before going on my honey moon, seven days later only one left and the honesty box full! we do the softwood this time of year for people's outdoor fire pits, looks like the warm weather is good for ice cream and fire pit wood!
  9. I thought I had tennis elbow for the last two years so went to the GP who basically said yes it's the work you do, take these drugs and go away! I paid £300 for a MRI scan because I was genuinely concerned, I've worked for 23yrs and never lost a day to sickness. The results were devastating, 90% loss of cartilage, osteophytes, degenerative hyaline and subchondral sclerosis. I have small ossified intra-articular fragments floating around in the joints which is why I can't straighten my arm which makes climbing difficult! Get it checked out properly. I've now been referred to a specialist on the NHS.
  10. Eco plugs, leave them for habitat. One plug every three inches should do the trick.
  11. Here's my Lenar still working hard!
  12. Jon, she's done 178,000 miles! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Can't beat the 300tdi, mines spent all winter towing firewood so she got rewarded with a 1700mile 3 week trip around Scotland, still doing 80mph on the motorways. Now she's had a holiday its back to towing a fast tow trailer with crane, loaded up with timber ready for processing.

  16. Not on the bench but on the floor! Had a wire rope jam up in the 1t tirfor, Had to totally dismantle it to cut the wire, then couldn't remember how to put it back together again!!! so got the 3t out just to make sure! All working fine now!

  19. After erecting newt protection fencing to protect the great crested newts last week today we started felling the side growth of these 249 Western Reds. All of which are to be felled. They surround a set of tennis courts which are being up graded. Very tight felling lines. It's what to do with all the timber!
  20. Jon, this one is a 35hp Vamath from Riko. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  22. You mean buy one of these?
  23. My little Kobota doing what it's employed to do! Reality is I can't bare to sell her!
  24. We went for 3.8kw system using hybrid panels which produce power at a lower light level. Whilst you'll never be self sufficient it can be cost neutral. We are drawing less of the grid, when you consider your fridge draws more power In the summer keeping your beer cool at the same time your generating for a good 14hrs if your SW facing. Our income covers our yearly bill (we still pay our monthly bill) but get our generation money back each quarter and we still made £1100 on top last year!
  25. Haven't shaved for at least 20yrs, just trim it's much easier! When it's warm and sunny it's a number 3, when it's dull and mild it's a number 5, when it's cold and icy it's a number eight! This time of year I just trim with my rechargeable any time any place any where!
