I don't own a grinder but will price at £2 ish an inch and tell the client that i can do it for that rate but they will have to wait until i have enough of a list to cover a days grinding for everyone. Works for me.

Its a great investment IMO i bought one and have got a few jobs over the other guys as i told them why not mill the timber as it would be such a waste just as firewood. Oaks always pretty good you'll need a ripping chain if its dead oak!! I milled some large boards the other week off a dead oak took a bit longer than i thought but the end product is worth it. Buy one, go on they'll pay for themselves within the first paid milling session. Also id buy bigger rather than too small, 36" would be the size i recommend.

Nice bit of speedlining there, also that double pantin thingy has opened a whole new world up to me... of to buy some bits tomorrow i think. Also why didn't you use the silver tandem for speedlineing?

Ok, im going to buy a lockjack this weekend... I have 11.5m and 13m ropes so what size clutch comes as standard as i will need to buy the other size and don't want to end up with 2 clutches the same size.

I put a bigish lump of wood on the end furthest away then when i get half way swap it to the other end, then as i get close to the end i sit on the ladder, (only works if you've put wedges in so you don't pinch the saw)

Anyone using 2 handles on the rail? throttle locked out one handle close the engine other near the tip end? I over extend my ladder quite a bit to stop tip drop off. Although i haven't had too many occurrences with it happening even after the top cut. It had also crossed my mind about extending the rail width too. Maybe a 30cm bit in the middle on either side would do the job?

No,no,no im trying to say my first post i.e was me saying that if you get injured can you claim expenses through the buisness, as im aware you can claim for phsysio for RSI's. The line between them both to me seems you could get an injury and say its from all the looking up we do???

You've lost me a bit at metal wraprounds:confused1:. Maybe im not thinking right:blushing:? I've just purchased the steel twisted ones with the velcro wrap around? So what do the metal wrap arounds look like as i've never seen them??

Well i decided to go for the twisted shanks with a velcro wraparound top. Great price too from Gustharts.

Sad day this week my bashlins from the 50's:lol: snapped (left one did). So i've been on the lookout for a new set. Decided not to go with the geckos after having a play in them last weekend. So its bashlins again, steel probaly but what the heck is the diff between normal and twisted shanks?

So you can claim physio because of work injurys i.e i got a chog throw out of a tree that hit my hardhat resulting in serious whiplash. Part of my physio would involve going to the gym to re-strengthen my shoulders to stop a relapse in the muscles. Is that gym membership claimable because of a work related injury?
