  3. One question did you send the invoice with terms and conditions on it? a mate of mine sent an invoice and he didn't at the time put terms on any invoice. Well long story short took them to the small claims and got told he needed to send an invoice with terms on. 28 days later got paid for a job he did months ago.
  4. Fair play on that. He seemed like he had it planned out and i went like he said. Personally i would of just used a platform.

  7. Only worry about the date you say your self employed as if you pre date this you'll need to declare it, as im sure you would. Its just your accountant needs to see where things like salary go to for cross reference.
  8. Don't forget you can be self employed but need to declaire you are within 3 months. This also means you can claim backwards for 3 months too. I bought my truck whilst employed then left and was able to claim the cost of the truck against my tax for that year. All you really need to do is 1) go to you inland revenue centre and register, speak to someone there they are very helpful. 2) get a buisness bank account (can be a current account) if you like its easier to keep tabs on stuff. I also have a online savers account which i put my tax in so i don't spend it!!! 3) get an accountant and see what you can claim and what you can't. Hope this helps a bit.

No-one supplies toe spike you have to make them yourself as everyones feet are different and some like 30 degrees others like 20 etc, etc. Just have a-go if you've never done it say if i do better than 25-30 seconds you'll be happy and aim for you own personal times, i mean theres guys that can do sub 10 seconds:thumbup:(not me)
  10. Agreed at woodfest and the yorkshire show i borrowed strops and matts toe spikes for a quick run. Newbury is a turn up and have a go. Designed for people who want to have a try and see if they like it and don't fancy turning up to one of the championship events. P.S i will be at newbury on the saturday and will have bits n bobs you can borrow.
  11. 3 scots to be removed and 2 doors up i had felled a cherry and got comissioned to build a 18" high by 4ft long coffee table. 3 Scots Pine fells and Milling of a Cherry | Facebook will add the finished table in a few days.

  16. I asked this question a while back. I must say get a plain note pad and draw your ideas then have a go a making them.
