  1. Clarks do a "super tack" Bio oil for £45 inc VAT... I thought I'd only ever use Stihl with having a Stihl saw but then when it came to price I took note of my better judgement... After all I use Husky 2 stroke so why not another oil for the chain...
  2. Not too sure on veg oil but if the saws run regularly and you occasionally run a little diesel through mixed with little standard oil to flush the pump it should be fine... As with bio oils, keep running the saw and keep it clean... I use Stihl Bio Oil and the pump on my 460 gummed up and was a bugger to dismantle and clean, I've ended up keeping it as a spare and getting a new one... Admittedly it had been left for some time without being run, learn from my mistake
  3. Or how about 2 years national service? They do it in Europe and seems to work there....
  4. If it's been used as a food depot before then the council should be snapping your arm off to use it as a business/office address... If I remember correctly there's a mountain of paperwork involved for getting a premises approved for food use...
  5. I used to have one of them!!! Oh my god, all you need now is the trailer for it lol...
  6. Get as much proof of previous use as a business address and invite them in and ask them, if they're funny about it, to provide a full detailed written explanation as to why it can't be changed back to a business address as it "used to be"... They'll have records of when it was originally a business address and need to tell you why, if they granted it first time round, why they can't grant it now...
  7. If we keep this up that'll be £20,000 by the time we finish!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Is it definitely soot?! or is it light grey?!?!?! If grey the saws running far too lean, brown is the ideal colour, ie: rich... Edit: re: winter baffle: there should be a little plastic insert that can be switched from summer to winter in the cover over the air filter if there is one on the 200T? It'll cause the air to be drawn around the cylinder to preheat it...
  9. As I said in another thread recently with a saw cutting out, take the carb out and check the fuel and impulse hoses... See if there's a baffle for winter too, if the carbs icing up that won't help either...
  10. The standard filter is part code: 0000 120 1653 The HD filter is: 0000 120 1654 And includes a wrap around "sock" that must be used with the HD filter... These are codes from the Stihl MS660 parts listing... The 660 doesn't have the blue brillo insert like the 460 for some reason... Edit: Make sure your not tightening the cover down too hard, hand tight plus a quick turn should be enough...
  11. Got my first set off... All my settings were saved from last year lol...
  12. I think they're pretty good, got my vote I might add I like marmite too Were they double exposures??
  13. Great game haha... On a side note, is there no Christmas raffle this year?
  14. The valve probably needs replacing... DON'T be put off, Stihls are good saws although it "may have" worked hard, it will still work hard with a little TLC Do a basic overhaul/maintenance check of all the serviceable parts and it'll see you through, for longer if you look after it I bought a 460, the saws great, although I had a little trouble with the oil pump when it seized through lack of use... Quick clean and a little TLC and it's ripping through wood like no tomorrow
  15. If you pull the air filter and carb out, there should be two hoses going into the carb, one's the fuel line, the other is the impulse hose... Hope that helps... Check the air bleed valve on the top of the fuel tank too, it may be gunged up...
  16. Is there an impulse hose to the carb and has it crunched or failed, a hole in that could be half the problem, if not the problem? Edit: There should be one...
  17. I'm the same and have been since buying my saw... I've only used different once or twice and would never change from these...
  18. I've bough a lot of genuine Stihl parts off them too... Delivery is usually upto a week but they undercut a company that's about 30mins drive from me with delivery included I've got quite a big order on with them at the minute for upgrading my MS460...
  19. Don't get caught and aim for their arse
  20. Speak to the Police and the local council, if there's an alternative route and the trees need removing they can get the traffic diverted unless access is absolutely necessary...
  21. Omniata

    fathers day

Got up at 07:30, or got woken up that is Got a great card of the little monkey, and he got us both into the local steam museum for free with it being fathers day, fun for both
  22. So would that mean that they would be liable for any further damage after being notified? ie: If the wall begins coming down due to the trees they would be liable for it?
  23. Found these sprouting outside a place I used to work whilst popping in to say hi and catch up... Just wondering what they are? Appear to look like fingers slowly pushing up through the soil and slightly hairy.... Also the two pics show the one on the right change in size over an hour or so... The fag but at the bottom was just lying around so I used it for scale...
