  1. nice mate well done,,,i use same ones as rob wood,,,,made in sweden,,,sharp as,,,,,
  2. considering I make about £30 profit from a m3 of logs £2200 is a lot of logs till I break even,,think I`ll be man-handling them as per usual,,,save on gym membership too,,,,not saying i wouldnt like one,,just,,,,,,,,

  4. couldnt agree more,,,they nick my wood or anything,,both barrels,,,been turned over twice in 10yrs,,proper style,,truck and everything,,not funny,,,takes every inch of determination not to pack it in,,,
  5. get in touch with shops supplying woodstoves,,make a friend,,,give the owner a free bag,,,bobs your uncle,along with website, cant keep,up,,,

I did go there and explain just that,,she thought I was stringing her along,,and said she`d find someone who`d do it for free willingly,,,,I knew what she meant,,,I also told her ,her requirements legally as she said theres forty big trees to come down,,it was at that point she hung up,,,best off out of it,,,I`ll follow the papers carefully,,,
  7. had a very well to-do lady ring me today to ask me how much I`d pay her to take her trees down, as she`d heard that theres loads of money in firewood,and I must be able to cut her trees for free,,after a little explaining,,,(especially as they where over main A4 )she tutted and hung up,,,,lol :sneaky2:every day brings a new one,,,,

  11. mate whilst running a co-ed outdoor program in the usa in my 20`s I was warned I was going to get sued for de-charachteration(something like that) cause I prefared to climb with one individual rather than another,,i laughed and thought they where having a laugh,,not the case,,totall nerds,,,

  19. hi guys bought a ford 5610 in december and got stitched,thought I was upgrading,,but alas,,lots of probs hidden by spray job,,,first wiring loom caught fire,,replaced it,,now selector in gearbox gone,,wont go into 2nd or reverse,,anyone mechanically minded fancy a go fixing it? reading /berkshire,,, thanks:confused1:
  20. try the market trader federation,they cover me for my trade shows, and works out about £75 per yr,,,
  21. hi just a tip mate,,its so important you sticker your timber properly, every 12inches,with dry stickers,,this will limit warping, make sure the stickers are the same size,,good luck,
  22. to be honest it depends on your needs,and budget, a bansaw mill, and swing mills both have pro`s and cons, Ive used both and wouldnt mind both, swing mills can be set up round big logs in situ, and produce very precise accurate planks, where by the bandsaw mill can cut wider boards,,,,

    festivals!

    going to greenfields at glasto,got a stall there doing woody stuff, chillin at Larmer tree festival, and also doing chippingham and swanage folk festivals,,,,gives me a break from tree work,,,and chance to have a few and not worry about, keys,phones or driving,,,,bring it on,,,
