  1. So because of your high running cost you dont make a profit at the end of the day? The customer should pay a set day or hour rate. Why you would need a 12 inch chipper for hedge cutting ill never know
  2. While this threads up and and running how long does an average tape last you guys?
  3. Nothing to do with health and safety climb how you feel comfortable I wouldnt like a big loop hanging there (like with using both ends) so I use a flip line and/or adjustible 10m lanyard
  4. replace with a husky!!!!!! so much better built the stihl ones because they are more exposed they get so much crap caught in and the return ends up lagging ive found anyway. the husky ones all the stuff is protected the return is brilliant on the tape and the needle allways goes in and never pops out like ive found with the stilhs.... And lets face it in genral husky is WAYYYY better than stihl or is it??
  5. I woke up sunday morning with a hangover and started wacthing my neighbours take on a tree I quoted got the crown down and tried taking off large lumps from this sycie with a hired saw from the ground, took about 5 mins to cut this bit of. Made my day to wacth. Then came the fell spent 10 mins trying to put a gob in with the bluntest saw ever no good and he gave up, im still waiting for the inevitable knock round to ask to fell there stick

  8. proberly not a fail but they wont be ammused by it. On a limb walk you have to walk otherwise it wouldnt be called a limb walk they wont give you a difficult limb that needs you to shuffle so they wont be happy if you do

  12. I thought lantra was the training body and nptc was the assecor body. I e lantra trains you towards an nptc assecment?
  13. One of mine to such a childish and stupid but thats why its great. Rise of the foot soldjier isnt a bad one starts off witht the usual football violance crap but then gets on to the essesx underworld crap and if anyone remebers the rang rover shootings in essex it ends with that. also essex boys is another one about the range rover shootings.
  14. Maybe if you was indian or lived in india you would understand it as not many of us do live or have lived there we cant explain:confused1: I reckon with all the africaln countrie revoulting it could be a 3rd world war except itll be button pushing not combat
  15. depends how you get comfortable with climbing realy mate. some people climb with both ends some with one and a lanyard some people climb with 3 pointss of attacthment particually during my chainsaw in a tree course i found this helpful but to be a commercial climber it slows you down alot most of the time..... imm only just starting to understand it mate so youll have alot of tinkering with what ever kit you have.... also a tape sling is a good idea a pulley and some friction cord. a flip line and if you really have some cash some spikes.

  21. It probly doesnt help much but in a hardwood site im felling firewood for a mate im geting 11 pound a ton providing my saw and paying for fuel. At the momment im cutting about 7 ton a day but have had various issues slowing me down could probly do 9. this is burning and stacking on my own.
  22. So who has tried it? I only heard about it a few weeks back and I'm well up for giving it ago. Do I drink it straight from the stump or leave it for a month or so?
  23. because its a 250! there pretty pants at most things what bar are you running? as someone said if your really worried about fuel get a more powerful saw they are better on fuel quicker cutting etc. I was talking about people sharpening everytime they fuel up and I just think what a waste of a chain time and monney.
