  1. There all doing there bit to make a bit more monney in what is hard and uncertain times. The price is to low as it is for the ammount of work and effort that goes into a bag of logs. personally I think everyone shoudl stand together to up there prices but itll never happen as someone will allways undercut
  2. £70 a tonne!!! I wish I could sell would at that price. I thought it was 30-40 maybe 50 if things are desperate or am I wrong?

  15. also corck screws make good guards.
  16. gerlert bags are bombproof ive found. Why do you keep your spikes out the bag as long as there gaff guards on I dont see the problem?
  17. Heres one of our post and rail jobs in an orchard. turned a bit ugly with boundry disbutes on the job with us being dragged in as you do this first phase was a good job though.
  18. theres no reason why sc post wont last 20 year sometimes more. Is there no chesnut coppice at all where you are. Buying an exsisting plot and coppicing it would the best/cheapest thing and you havent got to wait 20 years for it to grow.
  19. how big posts are you on about? just 5.6 steaks or post and rail? chesnut does coppice well but idealy for post and rail it needs to take about 20 ish years to re coppice to a decent size. Chesnut is one of the best fencing products around but im not sure if it would be viable for yo.
  20. Maybe this is just an opinion of how people do it but when morticing the posts have two holes as a mortice and put a rail to the opposite side. Hope that sort of makes sense.chestnut post and rail fencing tate fencing Looks good anyhow I hope im not telling a grandmother how to suck eggs:blushing:
  21. There felling cuts could of been a bit lower they wasted alot of timber:thumbdown: Seriously though very cool pictures
  22. shouldnt there be a little bit of chain oil left at the end of the tank. I dont think ive ever used a saw where its ran out completley. Or am I missing a point a bit here?
