  1. I presume the pressure pads were placed too avoid damage to the lawn:001_tt2:
  2. Also how much did that cost the client out of interest?
  3. Love your work man, what do you use for fine detail? Jake:thumbup1:
  4. Summers tailing off for us now and we've got cooler winds which is nice. A breezy 23 degrees today with beautiful blue sky's in the afternoon.a perfect 28 on Monday. Autumn is great. Jake:thumbup1:
  5. That's what I meant though, an srt compact system. So that you don't need to have the RW with it. I guess a hitch hiker but mechanical style. Surely there's a market for that right now. Jake:thumbup1:
  6. Shame as I thought they would have made something for srt use and ddrt.a bit of diversity. Do you think they won't because srt isn't fully recognised as a work positioning technique? Jake:thumbup1:
  7. Hey guys, I understand that my posts have come across wrong and I said some things it shouldn't have. Mainly ones that have been pointed out:biggrin: and whilst I wasn't thinking whilst typing. Just trying too find the story as I know people and I am interested in how this situation pans out. As Far as I'm concerned with Bolam, please tell me more about the plane and what you heard:001_tt2: Jake:thumbup1:
  8. What improvements would you like too see then? Jake:thumbup1:
  9. So do you know why the climber isn't answering questions on Instagram?
  10. I have the regular (poor mans) pinto. Attached too a Prussik which is attached to a teufelberger ringsaver. You get a small retrievable ball with the ring saver and it fits in the pinto lovely. Works lovely with my SJ. Jake:thumbup1:
  11. I'm not sure but I know if I were Petzl I would want him telling the whole world until I had answers myself. Especially since the failure of the last one. Will defiantly be interesting what comes back about the problem though. Either way it's not building a better picture for Petzl. So many were put off when the first ZigZag was recalled. You'd think after the last one they would of crossed their t's and dotted their i's so hopefully no recall for this. Jake:thumbup1:
  12. That's a pretty cheap supplier you have over the pond, wish I was close enough too get deals like that. Although the materials have a 30 year life span that doesn't mean neglecting them until that time though, surely you would put a bigger cable in before the eye bolts callous over? Other wise there would be the potential of re drilling into the tree. Jake:thumbup1:
  13. Haven't seen a decent photo and I too am no expert, that's why Petzl have taken it and are testing it. I just there seemed more too it than "it was like this when I got it" and I'm not saying that it must have been wrongly used. Perhaps heat stress from a long, quick descent but too be perfectly honest I have no idea. I just think the quicker we know why or how the better. I guess things like this happen all the time but being a Petzl it's being highly publicised. However the guy who reported it isn't saying anything or answering questions either, but I assume he's been told by Petzl too keep his mouth closed until they investigate. Thoughts? Jake:thumbup1:
  14. Don't like too speculate but the phot and crack looked a little suspect too me. It's left a lot of people wondering and waiting. I'm sure it's the last thing Petzl wanted too hear right now. Jake:thumbup1:
  15. Seen that one has been sent back too Petzl from Australia because a crack was found in one of the links. Has any one heard news yet or how it happened? Jake:thumbup1:
  16. How pointless is that.................I mean who the hell has solar panels in Scotland:001_tt2: Jake:thumbup1:
  17. Large caritool here and small caritool for shiny things on the other side. Not may Connie's too brake them out here:001_tt2: Jake:thumbup1:
  18. My Stein cube also poked a hole through itself quite early, but too late to send back. Had it almost 2 years now and hasn't got worse but is not holding up anywhere near as good as some of the guys at the yard. I know my next cube purchase. Jake:thumbup1:
  19. Second the distel, reliable so much that for me had to sometimes free it from grabbing so much, but I'm not a particularly big guy (I tell myself). You can find it in the knot guide. Jake:thumbup1:
  20. I'm on the samson velocity. Awesome rope, low stretch and self tends like a dream. May need gloves though, it's rather small. Jake
  21. The Ozzys are currently hating me out here.hahaha Jake:thumbup1:
  22. Thanks guys, the tree was fine and healthy. We are in the middle of winter here and the tree is just holding onto the lower leaves for slightly longer. No doubt that the tree will go into transplant shock and lose all its foliage within a couple of weeks. Jake:thumbup1:
  23. And manoeuvred into position Thanks for looking guys.i have pictures of another tree that we did but will post over the weekend,it was bigger and a lot harder to work with and I will keep you guessing. Enjoy! Jake:thumbup1:
