  1. triangles or squares is the question, i like to split as much as i can into large house brick size and shape lumps, but my head is telling me they will season quicker as triangles, oh come on -we've had nearly every question so far from price per lump to pore size:001_smile:
  2. :drool:perfect, thats the exact same colour everything i cook ends up:thumbup:
  3. yeah they're tight alright, i saw them arguing with a yorkshireman over a ha'penny, thats how copper wire was invented:001_tt2:
  4. i saw a programme on it once, think they slice it a tad thinner than that (more like bacon), about 150g of beef makes 100g jerky, thats all i know. oh drove past a place in california selling salmon jerky so it seems anything is possible.
  5. i don't find any serious injury funny, thats why its called serious isn't it? i would class this one as a stupid injury and that makes me laugh my pants off at the floppy leg dude.. harsh maybe, but rope/harness for correct positioning would have made his bad cut into a near miss, a correct cut would have done the same as would a different rigging setup and a guy on the rope who knows what he is doing, any diy'ers out there reading this -please don't end up like this guy, get a pro in..
  6. the last one is ace, usually i'm a big fan of pics with no people/pylons/wires/houses etc in but thats an exception, it looks like they are all looking at it wondering why its green:001_cool:
  7. fallen out with the huskies liam? or are the fuel prices getting too much:001_tt2:
  8. just spent a few days sat next to this plastic faker:thumbdown:, and an hour or so sat next to this awesome feature stove, not sure if the kettle will fit on top of it though? spotted this massive stove in a store in yosemite national park a couple of years ago, want one:001_cool:
  9. used them a lot years ago but don't think it helped that much unless you want to end up sat in a puddle of sweat, i'd rather go canoeing for real but it might work for you, feeling that extra christmas helping? i am haha:thumbup:
  10. for that price i'd want the mini digger too:001_tt2: that pin needs a remote control
  11. may i recommend a pushing chain for this and go from left to right, that way you can keep your thumb behind the handle:thumbup:
  12. been taking loads of pics while on my holiday this week so thought i'd share a couple with you guys, here's Pop and Tad, they behaved very well this week including clocking up 1200 backseat miles and playing (gently) with my bro's baby:thumbup:
  13. shot this lastweek whilst in a traffic jam on the m6
  14. best one i ever used was just an old cheapie ground so sharp and thin it was like a razor
  15. charge bunny huggers a fee to hug a tree, or even better charge them to plant trees:thumbup1:
  16. roads clear right to the top, took this photo two days ago:thumbup: a lot of ice on some roads though, even the locals are having to drive as slow as 60mph:001_tt2:
  17. the shot gun firing is ace, i liked the owl one too:001_cool:
  18. i just use a few cableties, and maybe the odd few bits of galvy wire, i forgot to run galvy wire across from one panel to the one opposite on this box and now its bowing out like its pregnant..
  19. i'd pull the glow plugs out and test them on a spare battery, then check the circuit for them is working, i have been using a blowtorch to start my dumper, it doesn't like the cold but if i don't get a lay-in then neither do the machines:001_smile:, the fuel is waxing up and filters icing up which doesn't help, you could do with a hot water bottle or similar to warm the engine oil a bit
  20. i thought i was lazy getting a log splitter, on monday we had the splitter and two axes on the go (broke one of the axes too), if you get any lazier you will likely be accused of being american:thumbup:
  21. are they ringing it up onsite or taking it in lengths?
  22. when it rains it comes without warning and so heavy it floods, its ok though as its usually nice and warm, as said before don't go swimming in the sea unless you are a really good swimmer, me and some mates nearly drowned trying to get past the surf, everytime you come up for air another wave crashes down on you.. hope you have an ace time, don't forget they drive on the wrong side of the road:thumbup1:
  23. i bought some chainsaw wellies, cheapo trousers and cheap helmet for my 30/31 and regret it completely, the trousers didn't give me freedom to move properly, the helmet muffs and visor kept falling off all the time and the wellies wore my legs nearly down to the bone, the wellies do come in handy for river/stream work. cheap is really expensive as it hurts and you pay twice, quality doesn't cost - it will pay for itself..
  24. you're right the landy wouldn't have done that, a landy driver would have simply driven round it:thumbup:
