  1. Its the only tractor the farm has mate, so its that or walk the woods with a strimmer for days and days!! She is a tough cookie.
  2. how much are you selling a bag for?
  3. i like the look of them a lot, but fear cost would kill it...
  4. To be fair we are probably 4/5days off starting yet, barley is nearly ready and then OSR will be at least 2 weeks off and wheat probably 3. I did knock some grass down tonight as well, hopefully can make some half decent haylage in next 3 days
  5. ...well not for us but this photo was taken in Suffolk about 30mins ago! Anyother combines going?
  6. How old is your sister? I only ask as my sister suffered from chronic tiredness for a couple of years before being diagnosed with Lupus (Q & A Overview). I wouldnt wish this illness on anyone, its horrible but can be controlled. Normally effects females in late teens or early twenties. Back to the thread, I need 8hrs minimum, otherwise i am absolute dog shite the next day. Safe to say harvest time really buggers me up!
  7. something like this maybe.....Tractor log saw bench quicker & safer than chainsaw, Great Yorkshire/Royal Welsh | eBay
  8. Im in same boat Dan, I'm looking for one with a conveyor hopefully. A member on here had one for sale for a while, should of snapped it up. Cant remember the make though
  9. A great story, funny how things go sometimes isnt it. Couple of weeks ago i dropped off £150 quid of logs to a chap, he paid in cash and counted it out to me - all there. I put it straight in my wallet, go straight to my bro's to pay him for a days work, only £130 in my wallet Never did find it Not really sure of the point of my story but still puzzles me!!
  10. Jonny seems to have come from nowhere very quickly, his future is very bright IMO GG are suppose to be good machines now, just no dealers around....
  11. Mat, Sorry i cant help with the logs, but just had a look at your website and them ovens look might fine! I have made it my short term goal to have one in my garden!!!! Great idea them. Went to a YFC party on Friday and the caterers there had 2 (looked homemade mind out of oil drums) cooking pizzas, bloody good were the pizzas too!
  12. You mentioning a KMX brings it all backmate, we had a KDX 125 but dad dropped the engine out and stuck a 200 in the, went like hell then it did!
  13. Yeah them 2 Trials superstars have seen the light!! Get back involved with the enduros mate, nothing else like it IMO Got a new KTM 250 smoker this season and love it!
  14. But then beat him fair and square at ROmaniacs!
  15. This chap is gonna be BIG in the world of Enduro, I bet he will have as successful, if not better, career then David Knight MBE. Jonny is already beating blokes who are supposidly at the peaks of their careers! Seems a right top bloke as well, pretty young as well so should keep improving for a while yet!
  16. Me and the girlfriend are planning exactly same sort of trip, from late November to late January all going well. Havent got anything planned at all yet, banking on a good harvest before we book anything set in stone etc. Will follow this thread with great interest
  17. Is that David Davison's outfit? Looks bloody smart, smarter then the old Valtra! Realistically I doubt farmers (tightest customers you have probably) would pay much more then £40 an hour, so 9hr day = £360. I know its worth more but just an example. I am planning on a similar outfit for this winter but having chipper on the front and chipping into a trailer on the back or having timber trailer on the back, and was gonna go in at £40hr
  18. potato bags? been offer 100's for free by 2 big potato growers, I wouldnt pay much for them mate if i was you. They are handy though
  19. Yeah she is a beauty. Brand new couple of months back, a new model - JD 210R, 210hp boosted to 240hp. Full RTK guidance system. Its the only tractor the farm has so needs to be big enough to drill, cultivate etc but nimble enough to go fert spreading with or topping etc. Great alrounder
  20. Yeah, its nice to have a ride around and see how things are etc in the woods Yeah we try to cut more one side one year and then more other side next year. ALso we try to cut wavey edges and not straight edges, suppose to be better for habitats that way.
  21. Y?eah a Kuhn topper. DOes a great job. No problems as yet, just a set of belts i burnt out when i got an old wheel stuck in there (fly tippers )
  22. The second photo shows a fairly big area, this is in the middle of a 5 acre wood and 4 rides go off from this. Also have got a wedding in this wood in 2 weeks, providing weather behaves should be lovely location.
  23. Had a cracking couple of days last week trimming back a few rides and other margins/HLS corners around the farm. Woods really look smart just after being trimmed.
  24. GIve Kevin Head at Great Waldingfield Garage a bell, he does all my truck spannering and is a good guy.
