  1. Very interested in knowing how you get on with the bobcat mate? I have tried to find decent loader tractor for a while but i dont really need the tractor just a loader really and bobcat may work well.
  2. Always look to add value im in the process of getting match boxes personalised with my company details to offer to firewood customers
  3. Having read this thread, I cant really see the point of it apart from slating a hard working bloke for making money? Whos business is it anyway really what Nick earns? All the best Nick is what I say mate, trucks are bloody hard work to make money out of (we have one on the farm and dad runs one) so good on you matey. As for making money from tractors etc, i am seriously thinking about selling mine...too many mugs around here charging £18-£20 per hour for man and 40k tractor for my liking.
  4. In my experience a big % of grain lorry drivers load their trucks during their breaks, im not saying its right or wrong but just how it is.
  5. Just allows you to watch your Sky subscription on other machines, got mine on my laptop and phone. If you havent got sky, find a mate with it who aint using his sky go and stuff him some a few beers for his sky id....I know loads who do this...
  6. Sycamore probably my favourite firewood to work with. Cuts and splits a treat. Can season easily within a year, sometimes before if split into billets and stacked. Always stick a bit of Scyamore in each load i send out
  7. I havent sorted out my sky from moving house recently, was sulking I was missing the darts and then remember about SKY GO!! Got it live on my laptop now LOVE THE DARTS MVG is class, watched him last year at Lakeside
  8. Quality entertainment, but GUTTED I missed the 9 darter from MVG
  9. I got L17 OGS from my better half last year, my sister dad and mum all have *17 something etc now. Pretty pleased with that.
  10. My spaniel is nearly 6. He has had the odd pheasent or rabbit road kill and demolished them. But I must admit he makes a right mess with the feathers! Are rabbits decent meat for dogs, have heard they can be too rich?
  11. Peter, interesting post there mate. Do you give the pigeons whole, feathers and everything bar breasts?! And same with pheasent? Really want to get my spaniel onto game more often and I have near unlimited supply!
  12. Paul, DO you work your Clumber? I am very interested in one for my next dog. Any info would be great
  13. Interesting thread this, I must admit I dont enjoy feeding my spaniel the bagged biscuits and tinned shite. I really really must make more effort to trap rabbits and shoot pigeons for him.

I think my Sky subscription is worth paying, but only just. I love the footy and darts and normally tele is shite for both. But yeah I agree, the shite my girlfriend watches makes me want to chuck the TV on the fire! Am watching more and more stuff (and sky) on laptop now.
  16. Yeah I do metre billets but I think this style processor with splitter on the side would be next step up from my current saw bench. I may buy a new bench with conveyor and get engineering friend to make me up the splitter bit. 50% of my timber is from hedgerow coppicing and no way would most of that go through standard processor but I could handle it with the processor in question....and this style would still cross cut billets a treat also. And not reply on a ram to push logs onto conveyor
  17. Could you stick some photos up? Im after a saw bench with elevator but if I can get one with a splitter on the side as well jobs a good un
  18. Collino Costruzioni - COMBY 2010 TSC 4-5 Never seen one with a seperate splitter ram like this, it does appeal to me a lot but is there any real benefit of it instead of a convential processor with a chamber?
  19. If you have any luck could you please let me know as I am also after some. GOOD LUCK
  20. Them Browns splitters are superb, mine hasnt missed a beat. Although i finally found a massive lump of Ash last week that jammed it, took us ages to un wedge it!
  21. Any arbtalk members also a member on said website. I have only just come across it, is it a new website? Seemed to be quite high up on a google search i did.
  22. Your right, and imo Steve I think punters prefer a small increase each yr then a bloody great increase say every 4 or 5 yrs
  23. Nick are you moving any wood my way? I could do with an artic of fairly seasoned stuff, the firewood game has gone nuts for me this year and getting well through my heap of well seasoned stuff. Picture is of a load Nick dropped off for me last Autumn, proper nice full lorry load
  24. Real interesting test Chris, but one im not surprised with if im being honest. Its a problem i have been thinking about for sometime. I am trying to find a loader bucket of .6 cube so i can accurately measure each load that goes out of the yard. At the moment I am definately sending out loads that are slightly bigger then stated but I am happy with this at the moment. Heaped loads imo look great when you turn up to a customer but if you are processing straight into delivery truck, the best way for seller has to be a level load in a measured area surely? My trailer is 1.4 cube perfectly level, so if i take a 1.2 cube load out in that i know dam well that the customer is getting a good deal!
  25. I'm burning some bone dry Poplar on our open fire atm, burns a treat. No spit, bloody warm and flames lovely. I know Pop is a right sod to get dry and keep dry but when you do its a cracking wood to burn imo and i can normally get as much as i want for nout if i can be bothered with the hassle of getting it dry.
