  1. Great post and thanks for highlighting it. Good luck with the OP, sure everything will go just fine. I know what you went through with the waiting to hear if it was a cyst or not. The missus found a lump on her breast earlier this year and had to wait for results from tests. A nerve racking few weeks until the tests came through. Luckily it was just a cyst and nothing to worry about. All the best and good luck.
  2. 7.2 Ton. I thought this was going to be about a new born baby.
  3. Sounds like you got a keeper there. Speedy recovery. Agree with taking it easy regarding the injury as bones can heal in the wrong position and cause more pain in the future when it has to be broken and reset. I had an ex like that, still great friends now.
  4. All the best. It must feel good doing what you enjoy everyday and no one to report too. I'm still trying to find my way out of my IT job.
  5. No Tree stories, but a few from the Army. Sending new recruits of to the QM's to ask for the key to the indoor grenade range. or a Long Weight, Tartan paint. All the normal ones.
  6. Very nice Truck Mister. Me wants one of them.
  7. Discovery 200 or 300 TDI could even find a V8 with a Gas kit for that money and remove the rear seats you have yourself a nice commercial.
  8. I've got AT2's on the disco in 235/70/16 and they are fine in the snow, had no problems pulling stuck lorrys and various over cars out the carparks. Disco Tyre size chart
  9. very nice. If i was in the market for a nice wide piece of tree that has been milled for a outside table top what would the price be and the best place to buy? Direct from the saw mill?
  10. Excellent thread, and something i plan on doing this year if i can find time. If your giong to book again, go through a site called quidco quidco.com/virgin-balloon-flights. It earns you money back on anything you purchase by linking through quidco to the sellers site. Worth a look if you shop online. Me and the missus have got £50 back so far in the last few months.
  11. I would have a cut a ring off that trunk and had it as a table top in the garden, that is some beast.
  12. it's like the top one Defender_books £30 to your good self.
  13. ohh nasty 4x4 owner with bull bars they kill don't you know........ Nice one on the winch. Just seems to make the front look very clogged up. I would bring the winch tray inline with the chassis rails and set it back then cut and weld the bumper on the ends. each to there own. I think i have 90 workshop manual in the garage hardly used if it's any interest to you.
  14. Sorry no can do, will be in sunny Spain.
  15. Congratulations on passing your test. Nice truck you got there. I would suggest getting a winch bumper and getting it mounted more between the chassis rails. as that looks to be above them and not well fixed on. You could take the Winch tray and weld the bumpers sections to it to allow you to drop it down between the rails for it to be stronger. Climbing is great fun.
  16. Excellent idea, What's the tree Boat? where did you get it from?
  17. I believe if all the fixings and Brackets are there to enable you to install extra seats without changing bulkheads/chassis then you should be fine. You may need to get it inspected and amount of seats updated on the V5 but that should be it. I wouldn't quote me on the above though, but i beleive it works on a points system as to what you change etc. Call DVLA, or VOSA and they should be able to advise you.
  18. What have you done to that poor landrover. replacing a perfectly good V8 Petrol engine and placing a Perkins in it. No wonder no one will insure you. Disgraceful.
  19. I didn't take any. My hands were full with a burger and beer in the other hand. Good meet, good to see your ugly mugs again. Thanks Richard for the trees and Field to camp in, Thanks Justin for your vast van of shiny kit and also Marque and BBQ.
  20. I best dust off the tent in the morning. Done no packing or organising. Oh well only one night and doubt there will be much sleep. I will have the camera with me so will get some snaps. See you all tomorrow.
  21. There was a thread on here about them before Christmas. My friend used them and has had a low return from them. Customer service is appaling and you have to chase them up. AVOID.
